    UPDATED: 11:26 am EDT March 15, 2010

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- An investigation is under way after a hunter found human skeletal in a wooded area over the weekend.

The remains were found just before 4 p.m. on Saturday in a wooded area across from 102 Kondros Circle in Greenville.

Investigators from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Division responded to the scene, as well as personnel from the coroner's office and forensics.

Investigators at the scene determined that the skeletal remains, which were scattered about the area, had been at the location for a considerable amount of time. Foul play has not been ruled out.

What we are doing is just a drop in the ocean.
But if that drop was not in the ocean,
I think the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.

The skeletal remains found were those of a missing man who the police haven't released the identity of yet.

Wow - that was a *lot* faster than I thought it would be.

I hope LE figures out just as quickly what caused this man's body to be out there all alone.

    So sad that that happens.

They identified skeletal remains in just a couple of days? Wow...must have been some identifying factors that were obvious.
