Rest in peace, Kaylin.

Kaylin, who went missing from her home Wednesday evening was believed to have left on her own free will according to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department.

They should NOT ASSUME that all missing teenagers are RUNAWAYS! And even if they are runaways, they should NOT ASSUME that they are safe! :furious:

Rest in peace, Kay. :(

Teen held in girl’s death

Victim found strangled; boy charged with murder

The last time Jason Doggendorf saw his 14-year-old daughter it was 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and she was talking on the phone with a boy.

Cell phone and computer records show that she was up until about 2 a.m. arguing with him, her father said. But when her mother came downstairs to her room about 6 a.m. Thursday to wake her up for school, she was nowhere to be found.

Police discovered Kaylin Michelle Doggendorf strangled to death Friday night in eastern Kosciusko County, less than a mile from her home. Joshua Wright, a 17-year-old who lives at nearby Ridinger Lake, is being held at the Whitley County Jail, charged with her murder.

What in the world is going on with our youth today, that they are so compelled to kill at such young ages?

RIP, dear Kaylin.

A Whitley County judge has accepted the plea agreement of 18-year-old Joshua Wright in the rape and murder of 14-year-old Kaylin Doggendorf.

Wright pleaded guilty, but mentally ill in the case on February 10th. The agreement called for a sentencing of 100 years instead of life in prison...

With good behavior and Indiana's one for one rule, he will be eligible for parole in 49 and a half years.
