Missing Person: Michael Weaving

The Connecticut State Police and Southbury Resident State Trooper's Office received a compalint reporting a missing person from the town of Southbury.

Michael J. Weaving, 24, was last seen in the area of Flood Bridge Road in Southbury in the late afternoon of Thursday 3/18/10. He is still missing.

Michael is described as a white male, 24 years old, 5 ft 8 in., 130 lbs, red hair, red goatee, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing khaki colored pants, t-shirt or hooded sweatshirt and sneakers.

Anyone who may have any information as to his whereabouts or any possible sightings of Michael Weaving are asked to contact State Police at 203-267-2200. All calls will be kept confidential.

Police spent hours searching a wooded area in Southbury on Berskshire Rd Friday. At this time they are not giving information as to what they are looking for.

Neighbors tell NBC Connecticut that a body was found on Berkshire Rd., and reports say a body was found in a shallow grave near the Pomperaug river. Those same reports say that police dogs have been searching the area for evidence.
 
There are comments on one of the articles saying that he has been found dead. Obviously we can't be sure if it's verified, but pretty likely. :(

State troopers said today they believe they found the remains of 24-year-old Michael J. Weaving, a Southbury man who was last seen in the Flood Bridge Road area of town late in the afternoon March 18.

The remains, which were found in the area of the Pomperaug Trail in town, haven't officially been identified yet, police said. They will be transported to the chief medical examiner's office to determine the cause and manner of death.

SOUTHBURY -- Police have found the body of a 24-year-old reported missing last week and arrested a Southbury man in connection with the death.

A spokesman for the chief medical examiner's office confirmed that the body was that of Michael J. Weaving, who was reported missing by his family on March 18. The office is scheduling an autopsy for Monday.

Wednesday, 24-year-old David Eisenbach admitted he murdered his longtime friend Michael Weaving, of Southbury, at a Pomperaug River campsite last year.

Eisenbach acknowledged that he and another man, who later committed suicide, beat Weaving to death after a night of drinking on March 18, 2010.

Weaving was beaten to death, his body stabbed and mutilated, and he was partially burned, according to the autopsy.
