Has anyone considered that the Nation River Lady (a relatively well known Jane Doe from Canada) might be a possibility? Her reconstructions look a lot like the woman posed leaning on the chain link fence, only the woman on the fence seems to have better teeth than Nation River Lady is said to have. The timing for Nation River Lady is maybe a bit on the tight side too, and sources differ about when she must have been dumped. However, her mode of death is very consistent with Mr Alcala's tendencies.

Alcala was out of prison between August 4th and October 16th of 1974, so he can't be ruled out immediately based on the timeline (if the body was really dumped in " summer or early fall".)

Don't chain link fences come in standard heights? I'm guessing that the fence is a 6' one. That leaves the girl standing in front of it to be about 5'7" or 5'8", maybe even taller. She looks tall to me, taller than the 5'3" of the Nation River Lady.

I seriously doubt that the woman in front of the chain link fence or gate wasn't the victim of some terrible abuse. I think she is probably dead now. If you compare the different photos of her you will see that she looks so emotionally traumatised in one of them that she looks almost like a different woman altogether. Her hair has flattened and she has also removed and reapplied her makeup, suggesting that things have been done to her that destroyed her makeup application and she has reapplied it under duress from Alcala so he could get his shot of her looking ustterly hopeless.

Woman leaning on fence looks like missing person Connie Gail Minchaca.
What do you think?

The fence lady and Minchaca look a lot alike to me except for the width of the jaw. The fence lady seems to be wider in that area than Minchaca's age reconstruction.

The other one is pretty close.

This isn't fence lady, this is the woman in the patchwork shirt outside the motel room.

I took the larger image from Nancy Grace's site (wish she had ALL of the images available) and cropped it then adjusted the brightness and contrast to see if I could get a better view of her face.

She does not look American to me.

She does to me but I went to High School (in America) with a girl who could've been this girl's identical twin sister. (The resemblence freaked me out at first.) I do know it's not the girl I went to school with because we were in school in the 80's, after Alcala was incarcerated.

According to People magazine, this girl is alive.
