OKLAHOMA CITY - A photo of a clay model created by a forensic artist to help identify a human skull has been released by police.

The model depicts a woman whose skull was found at Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge near Lake Overholser last year.

I don't see a Susan Smiley in either Charley, NAMPN, NamUs, or DoeNet.

There's an Alicia Smiley, but she is a black girl who was 3 years old when she went missing in 1985.

Do you have a link to any info on Susan?

Her name is Susan Smalley. There is also another skull on Namus that was found in Oklahoma that reminds me of the one she went missing with Stacie Madison. Just an idea the recreation and the girl look similar.

I thought her name sounded familiar. I've looked at her case a few times. She does have a very similar facial shape to Susan. Since we have only a skull, we don't know how tall she was. Susan was 5'8" - a little on the tall side for a woman

A couple of things though - the recon appears to depict a chipped front tooth. I wonder if that was chipped antemortem or postmortem. I believe they do have a way of telling the difference.

Also, the skull was found recently, and Susan and Stacy disappeared back in 1988. I guess her remains could have been buried for 20 years, and then washed from land into the river, and up onto the banks.

I'd say it's a good possible, given that there is so little to go on.

BTW, the NamUs file indicates that no jawbone was found. Therefore, any resemblance in the chin and jawline is coincidental.
