Sheriff's Deputies search for missing Greece man in Caledonia

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a missing Greece man in the Caledonia area.

Deputies were investigating a motor vehicle that was left on Sand Hill Road in the town of Caledonia when it was found that the vehicle and registered owner – 44-year-old Bruce Reynolds -- had been reported missing. Greece Police took a missing persons report on April 15.

Reynolds is 6’6”, 240 pounds and was last seen wearing a light green t-shirt, a brown fleece, black jeans and white tennis shoes.

Greece Police investigators are assisting sheriff’s deputies in the search.

Livingston County sheriff's deputies continued searching today in Caledonia for a missing Greece man.

Deputies on Tuesday came across an abandoned car parked on Sandhill Road in Caledonia, and learned that the vehicle and its registered owner, Bruce S. Reynolds, had been reported missing from Greece last week.

44-year old Bruce Reynolds was reportedly despondent when he left his family, saying he was going out to smoke

A resident living a short distance from where the vehicle was located, told police that he saw a man matching Reynolds’ description in the area last Thursday. Jeff Ranous reported to police that the man was aiming a rifle, leading him to believe he was hunting.

Smith calls the terrain “difficult and dangerous,” and says it is described by locals who hunt in this area as densely wooded and dotted with thick boggy swamps; chest high in some places.

Greece, N.Y. — The search for a missing Greece man has been called off.

Bruce Reynolds' family says the last time they saw him was last Thursday. Investigators found the 44-year-old's car near Sand Hill Road in Caledonia.

Livingston County Sheriff's Major Chris Smith said, “Unless new information comes forward, it is basically suspended.”

The Greece man that went missing a couple weeks ago has been found alive in the Town of Wheatland.

Bruce Reynolds was found walking along North Road in Wheatland. A woman called 911 saying she believed the man that went missing from Greece, on April 16th, was walking along the side of the road.

Bruce Reynolds, the man who went "missing" from his Greece home and was later "found" in Caledonia is back in federal court.

Reynolds will appear in front of Federal Magistrate Judge Jonathon Feldman for a bail hearing.

News 10NBC broke the story that Reynolds was arrested last week and charged with possession of child pornography.

Reynolds was reported missing on April 15, 2009. That was shortly after federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from U.S. Homeland Security paid him a visit at his home on Rae Drive in Greece. They were there to question him about child pornography.
