When I hear what he did to the young lady with the baseball bat, I have NO problem with waterboarding. It sounds much more pleasant than what Stephany went thru.

In this procedure, the individual is bound securely to an inclined bench, which is approximately four feet by seven feet. The individual's feet are generally elevated. A cloth is placed over the forehead and eyes. Water is then applied to the cloth in a controlled manner. As this is done, the cloth is lowered until it covers both the nose and mouth. Once the cloth is saturated and completely covers the mouth and nose, air flow is slightly restricted for 20 to 40 seconds due to the presence of the cloth... During those 20 to 40 seconds, water is continuously applied from a height of twelve to twenty-four inches. After this period, the cloth is lifted, and the individual is allowed to breathe unimpeded for three or four full breaths... The procedure may then be repeated. The water is usually applied from a canteen cup or small watering can with a spout. This procedure would not last more than twenty minutes in any one application.

A couple rounds and he'll soon be chatting about both cases (IMHO).

Just the headline alone ~ why should she be shocked? Has she really been in that much denial about what he could be capable of?

I have known so many parents who are blind to their little darlings' nefarious ways. I wonder if this event with VDS is the ultimate consequence of enabling kids. Not to blame his mother for everything, but maybe this could've been nipped in the bud years ago. Wonder if both mom and dad babied and excused everything he did when he was younger. I notice that JVDS is really huggy and clingy with his mom. I find that odd. It's not as though he were an abused child who never learned to bond with humans! I'm a firm believer in NOT enabling others. They need to suffer consequences of their behaviors without us parents trying to interfere with necessary life lessons.

I read that Mrs. VDS said that Joran had the whole family terrorized (or words to that effect). Maybe she is afraid to NOT hug him?

I kept shaking my head all day...he's 22 years old and he's allegedly killed two innocent girls. What is wrong with this person? How did this happen? He's perfectly normal one day and then the next he's decided to kill? How could no one see?

Boy that was an up close and personal look at VdS. I am wondering what Body language experts would have to say about VdS licking his lips after his every single answer on the interview. I remember John Ramsey.

Wonder IF he always licked his lip like that PRIOR to the interview??
