Good morning, all. Cross by defense today (Mrs. Rentz)?

JTF - Manikin - Confession

Seeing is believing.
Honestly, I thought you meant for himself to handle his part of interrogation. That was around 2:00 am this morning.
Now in the light of day, I realize you were serious. And I agree, that would be pretty powerful. Most folks remember what they've seen better than what they have heard. Please forgive. Mea culpa...

Maybe it could work both ways. Howard needs a little excitement in his life for sure
Seriously, showing how the jog bra would naturally roll, both on and off would be powerful for the jury.

Ehhh, then Kurtz would just go on and on about how it needed to be a real woman who Cummings was rolling the jog bra on and off of.
Then when it worked the same way, he'd point out that maybe this was just ONE of the jog bras.
While I am sure the jury might inappropriately get a kick out of the following shenanigans, I am fairly certain the judge would lose it and we'd have a mis-trial when he got done with K and B.
(Yes, that is early morning sarcasm. The coffee machine was broken.)

Watching a tall, skinny male prosecutor put a sports bra on a mannikin, while the jury watched, would be hilarious ... moreso than powerful. The arms would be falling off as he tried to twist and turn them, the head would most likely end up rolling across the floor, landing at Cooper's feet.

Kurtz better be gentle with Mrs. Rentz this morning. If he gets snotty or sarcastic with her he has to know that he will lose points with the jury.
As for Kurtz making any points with me; he is in the minus column!

Is the defense wanting to add 3 more witnesses?

Como
IIRC, Agt. Como also testified in the Ryan Hare trial. He seemed very methodical and "careful" in the right ways. A good, patient witness -- in fact, Cummings was moving him along (!) at several points of the trial.
I think the video (that we were allowed to see !!!) was done well, and showed us a lot. (And I thought we had a lot of stuff in our house...)
And bless the defense for leaving poor, poor Donna alone. A bit of class.
Just a sad observation: I don't know how Krista and the Rentz g-parents can look a Bella and not just cry, cry, cry. She is so like her poor dead mother. Donna has some strong genes. Just gut-wrenching for me...

Addendum to a motion, 3 new witnesses added. Judge does not look happy.

The relief on her face was so apparent. Thank goodness. Kurtz gained a bit more respect from me for that move.

I, too, saw a very deep sigh of relief on her face.....and was so happy that the defense was respectful and thoughtful with respect to her. I too felt an elevated sense of respect for Kurtz.
And then I had to fly out the door for a dental appointment and I just got back in. I have some catching up to do.

The defense must have decided NOT to cross her after they recessed yesterday..Maybe they realized, it wouldnt help them to upset Mother of Victim....otherwise, they SHOULD have said so yesterday!!
I have to say, I saw a huge sigh of relief from her !

Would have been nice had the defense said 'no questions of this witness' yesterday, so the poor woman could have rested last night rather then stress over another day of questioning IMO.
