CA - Bob Harrod, 81, Orange County, 27 July 2009 - #9
Please continue here.
Bob Harrod has been missing since July 27, 2009.
He was last seen at his residence by his son in law sometime after 10:00 am the morning of July 27.
Bobs disappearance is being investigated as a homicide and a 50,000 dollar reward is being offered for information about his disappearance.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about Harrod's disappearance to contact detective Dave Radomski at 714-993-8176, or contact the homicide hotline at 714-993-8166.

No update at the coroners press release site indicating the remains have been identified.
It was last updated just prior to 4:30 am today, Saturday April 21st. The case is now # 10 at the attached link:

Funny thing is, it's like a prisoner's dilemma. Whichever family member comes forward first (and it could likely be only one of three people, none of whom live in Running Springs) is probably going to be the only one to be able to collect on the family trust. The rest, one would imagine, as accessories to or participants in a murder, would be excluded. The trust funds make the reward seem paltry. So, it's really a huge gamble. Stay silent, and one risks losing it all down the road when the other shoe drops. If someone is brave and righteous enough to speak up she will reap the rewards of a substantial inheritance, be able to look herself in the mirror, and sleep better at night.

I dont know if we have visited this story in a while-Lynsie Ekelund's killer pled guilty to a second degree murder charge.
