Found Safe CA - India Cloud, 16, Fairfax, 29 May 2009

India Cloud was last seen on May 29, 2009 in Fairfax, CA, heading towards San Anselmo. She is 5'7" and weighs 120, with brown hair and eyes. Anyone with information should contact Chris at 916-267-9883.

This hasn't been reported to any of the missing networks. It has to be done IMHO to get the word out about this missing young lady.

I'm a bit concerned that the POC (point of contact) for this missing child is named only by first name and appears to be her Mother. I wonder if she contacted LE, she says she has flyers.

We should get a copy for this website, and possibly advise about what to do when your child goes missing. We have a thread here for that.

I'm not comfortable in contacting family members of missing persons as of yet, so someone who is can email her.

O/T but my middle daughter's name is India.

Immediately when I saw this child, I thought "What a beautiful name!" I really hope she is found soon. If the anonymous poster is right and she ran away and is on the street, she could run into all sorts of trouble. I hope she just had a beef with her folks and returns home soon.

I agree with Kat,she needs to be listed at the regular missing sites. Sounds as if she ran away.

Okay I wrote her Dad and made the following suggestions:

1. Create another poster for India which has all of her information at a quick glance on the front of the poster. Put POC of LE as well (see number 2).

2. Either contact LE, or if have already done so~ request that LE submit her information to the NCMEC, as an endangered runaway (she is under the age of 18, I think she should qualify).

3. Gave them a link to this page: http://www.missing.ws/checklist.htm It is also found in our forum here for LTWH.

I also sent best wishes and identified myself as a concerned private citizen. No reference to WS.

I'll let you all know if I have contact back.

Sent email to Chris C., links to missing children/teen web sites. I hope he is able to take advantage of all that is out there.
Hoping India is found very soon.

No response from email I sent, I didn't expect one but just wanted to let everyone know.

Also, no articles from media.

We are lucky that these bloggers gave updates on the situation given that there have been no (to date) media reports of her missing or found.

Too often the stories will run in the mainstream media once or twice and if the child is recovered and returned home we never hear of it citing privacy issues for juveniles (and some adults).
