Police issue alert for missing elderly man

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Chicago police have issued an alert for an elderly South Side man who was last seen on Thursday and may be disoriented.

Donald Henry, 69, was last seen on Thursday, according to a missing persons alert from Wentworth Area detectives. He is a black man, 5-foot-6, 175 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He is missing from the 4800 block of South Drexel Avenue and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with the initials CPS on it, a 3/4 length black jacket, blue jeans and brown shoes.

Henry is known to frequent the areas of a McDonald's at 47th and Cottage Grove, the 12000 South block of Eggleston, and the 4300 North block of Clarendon Drive. Police say he may appear disoriented.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Wentworth Area Special Victims Unit detectives, at (312) 747-8385.

Elderly man missing from South Side located

CHICAGO (STMW) -- An elderly South Side man reported missing Saturday has been located, police say.

Donald Henry, 69, was reported missing from the 4800 block of South Drexel Avenue and had last been seen Thursday, prompting police to issue an alert Saturday.

Henry was located at home at the Drexel address Saturday evening about 6 p.m., and was safe, uninjured and in good health, according to an alert issued Sunday.
