Video at link.

Deschutes County cold case investigator Dan Anslinger says circumstantial evidence points to Chan's husband -- but 22 years later, they're still not able to prove he's the one responsible for his wife's disappearance.
"Without a body, you don't know, and it's also difficult to prove motive," said Anslinger.
So the cold case team continues to hunt for Angie's killer.

Do you think Angela Chan might match this bit of skull found in eastern Linn County, OR? She went missing in 1989 and the skull fragment was found in 1996 and had been there several years.

The Linn county line is about 25-30 miles west of Redmond. The map shows Linn county outlined in red. Redmond is just to the right. https://goo.gl/maps/FSHll

Namus lists two ruleouts:

Brenda Condon 1962 Pennsylvania
Barbara Gallagher 1957 Oregon

You'd think they would have checked against somebody that close, but it is in the next county. The DNA they have is incomplete so it wouldn't have been an automatic match.

Interesting theory. The killer could have easily taken her from highway 20 over to 126. I wonder exactly where in Linn County she was located? Is there a thread for the jane doe? I know the ME reads in our UID forum.

I am very familiar with that area. My sister lives in Redmond, and I've been to that spot at Cline Falls where her car was found. Cline falls is just outside of Redmond in the direction of where the skull fragment was found.

So it is very plausible that the killer took her to Linn County, dropped off the body, and then returned to town in her car, dropping the car off at Cline Falls, and then walking the rest of the way home.

I didn't find one for the UID. Should I start one?

Here's an article from last month; no new evidence though her sister believes its no mystery what happened to Angela.

"My mom, Nancy, says to Angela, 'When he gets here, you're going to put your foot down and say that's it,'" Wendy recalls. "'No more games, and tell him you are through and you are done with him.'"

Nancy told detectives she saw the estranged couple pull away from the house Sunday morning. Bruce later told detectives they went trap shooting. Two days later, her family and fiance started looking for her.

Details of Disappearance:
Angela was last seen by her husband of two years, Bruce Chan, when he dropped her off at their home in the 1500 block of southwest Lava Avenue in Redmond, Oregon on the morning of March 27, 1989.

They had been trap shooting together. After he dropped her off, Bruce returned to his station at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California, where he served at a lieutenant in the Marine Corps.

Two days later, on March 29, Angela's family members reported her missing. Her yellow Datsun B-210 was found that same day in a pullout along Highway 126 near the Cline Falls Bridge, west of Redmond. It was still operable and had fuel in the tank, but the passenger window had been smashed in with a rock. Angela's shoes and purse were inside the vehicle. She has never been heard from again.

Bruce and Angela were separated in 1989; he was at Camp Pendleton, and she had moved back in with her mother in Redmond and was seeing another man. She told her mother she wanted a divorce and was going to tell Bruce when she saw him on the day she vanished.

In spite of the problems in her marriage, her family stated she was happy and planned to move forward with her life...Bruce... now lives in Arizona.

Although authorities initially believed she'd left of her own accord, Angela is now considered to be missing under suspicious circumstances. Foul play is suspected in her case, which remains unsolved.
