She is described as a white female who stands 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She has long, wavy black hair and brown eyes.

Oh wow, Mitchell County is listed as "current location." This is where Lisa Ann Robbins went missing... goose bumps for me.

I'm curious, why do you think there could be a connection? I can't find much on Lisa, but don't see anything that would make me see a connection. In Lisa's case, I suspect a car accident and she just hasn't been found yet.

Gut feeling, due to both victims having a particular social media friend in common. I don't know how much I can speculate on here without violating some TOS, but it appears this sm friend used to be related to Byrd. That's not a lot to go on, but I just found where Byrd lived on Bad Creek Road in Bakersville, which is where Lisa went missing from. That's something they need to look into for sure when they find him.

Did you guys see in the link that Lisa Ann Robbins is Byrd's girlfriend? And he was last seen having dinner with Sarah Riddle.

So they are connected.

Sorry Blkmtngirl....we must have been posting at the same time.

WLOS just announced on the noon news that Byrd's truck has been found. No other information, and it's not on their website yet.

Body found near the Bakersville area. They call it an active crime scene, but don't give any more details. May or may not be related to the case, but I think it is.

Live scanner feeds at the link, but I really need to get back to work instead of listening.

My internet is acting crazy - very slow for some reason. They announced at 5 on WLOS that they had arrested Byrd, but toward the end of the story, the reporter said she was getting new info that he wasn't being arrested for the women's disappearance. She quickly said there would be more later.
