Mom & Daughter Missing After Grocery Shopping In Burlington

Burlington Police say a mother and daughter went missing after they went shopping in a Harris Teeter and didn't return to their car.

Police say 43-year-old Kimberly Ching Sullivan and her 14-year-old daughter Kirah Gusman were last seen entering the store on 2727 S. Church Street around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Kimberly's wife Sherri Sullivan reported them missing when she didn't see them return.

In an updated news release Saturday afternoon, police reported that they believe the pair are together and safe, but hadn't yet located them.

After further investigation, the Burlington Police Department believes that that Kimberly (Ching) Sullivan and her daughter Kirah Gusman are together in and are not in any Danger. However, the Burlington Police Department does not know their current location. The Burlington Police Department ask that anyone with information about their whereabouts contact us at (336) 229-3503 or Burlington/Alamance Crimestoppers at (336) 229-7100.

On 6/25/16 at 3:46 a.m. Burlington Police Department received a missing persons report from Harris Teeter, 2727 S. Church Street. Kimberly (Ching) Sullivan, 43yoa female, and her daughter Kirah Gusman, 14 yoa female, were reported missing by Kimberly’s wife, Sherri Sullivan. Kimberly is described as 5’01” and 200lbs and was wearing a black tank top. Kirah was described as 5’00” and 80lbs and wearing a purple and white striped shirt.

Kirah and Kimberly were last seen entering the store by Sherri Sullivan. At this point, we are unable to determine if there was any foul play.

This investigation is on-going.
