thanks for being so brave, you have my complete admiration.

I'm REALLY interested in what may come of your NB serial killer connection tip- I'm pretty sure my first posts in these LISK threads were noting the similarities (and those similarities were one of the reasons I became so interested in this case at the outset). I spent a lot of time in the Fall River/New Bedford area during the time those murders occurred, and although I wasn't in recovery myself, lots of people I socialized with during that time were part of the NA/AA community. That case affected many of them, at times by one degree of separation, so it was something that loomed large for all of us during those years.

As anyone who reads the sparse posts on the websleuths thread for that NB case can see, it likewise appeared at times as though law enforcement and politically connected people were submarining the investigation on purpose. There are a lot of parallels in that sense to LISK. I'll be amazed (but not surprised? If that makes sense?) if these cases end up being closely connected. I'm so glad the FBI is taking your information seriously! Good luck and like someone said above, we're all pulling for you.

I just want to verify that I understand what you are saying. So you are not 100% sure if the groundbreaking news is accurate. In other words, it is just a rumor that you heard. Who did you hear this from? If it is in fact from a knowledgeable source, then I would hope you would believe it to be true and would share it on here. The more time passes, the less information we get, and the more we all start to question this news.
 
Guys/Gals I hate to be a Debbie downer but there is no way on Earth anyone is getting arrested at this point without legit fresh evidence and Burke shagging hookers is not that.

There is still no solid evidence linking Burke to any killings, he's a corrupt cop yes but there have been many corrupt police officers over the years who have beat POI, check Miami in the 80's half the department got arrested for corruption a corrupt cop does not = serial killer, a man shagging hookers does not = serial killer.

What bugs me is Burke smacked the hell out of CL, but he accused Burke of being a pedo, what if it was all just lies and Burke saw red and leathered him real good for trying to ruin his life, if someone falsely accused me of being a pedo I would break them in half also.

Even if Burke is a pedo, he probably leathered CL just to cover that disgusting act up.

I've been reading here for days now, and there is nothing what will convict Burke let alone points me to believe he is even guilty and worth going to trial over.

The courts get one shot at this, they can't take anyone to trial and risk a not guilty,
 
Also don't even start with the he likes rough sex line, along with a million other people you lot have convinced yourselves he's guilty and trying to make evidence fit, which is the wrong thing to do imo.

One other point the dude was a cop so surely his DNA was on file? If not it will be now on a nationwide database as he's a convicted felon now. I don't care how corrupt you are, you're not washing away all DNA evidence.
 
You make some excellent points Common Problem, but for the purpose of the Board it doesn't have to convict the SOB. As far as making the evidence fit. Nothing could be sweeter justice than to watch someone trying to do exactly what this *advertiser censored* has been doing for years.
 
Burke is a bum and a ****. Its because of him and his minions that a baby killer may never be arrested. Hes a criminal and should pay back every dime he took from the taxpayers. Whats his plans upon release? Or should we dare to ask?

Just because you're a cop doesn't mean your DNA is on file somewhere.

In my country yes, over there I'm not so sure but what I am sure about is when you're arrested or jailed they take DNA, he is now in jail so they have his DNA. Of course this would only help if they did find use-able DNA at the crime scene. Look if he's guilty roast the pig, I just don't want to jump the gun, I'm going to indeed research more.

You do not know that and we do not know that. The FBI could very well have some goods and evidence on him. Compiling everything so they get an indictment. Which they are not about to release that to the public.

He is in jail now they have no reason to rush to arrest him. Do you think at the time the bodies were found he was going to arrest himself? He blocked the FBI from helping, that speaks volumes. Who would not want the help of the feds to review the evidence, and whatever DNA may have been found to solve killings? on thier own watch?

It's not just about rough sex he has anger issues.
 
More important he has anger issues and seems to fly off the handle. He almost beat Chris Loeb to a pulp even over a bag of child *advertiser censored* as Hawk said he could have denied all the items in the bag were not his, because Chris robbed 20 vehicles. He also told Chris he was going to 'rape his mother" Leanne said at one of the parties she was at with him she saw him pull a woman's hair and bring her down to the ground. In addition when Leanne had sex with him, he was rough with with her. He didn't even ejaculate. He is short, (Napoleon Complex) stated by people that know. Jim Burke himself said he was raised by a single mother. (No one knows what she was doing during his formative years). It adds up to: it could be very probable that he could have killed some of these women, located exactly where he partied with them and had sex with them. He never married, he was delinquent and involved in youth crime, robbing houses and drugs. A friend of his said that James Burke when he told him why he going into law enforcement "so I can do what I want"
It's all been posted here before and discussed. It was not a secret he was a horny guy and he was always with prostitutes even had one move in with him that was had been arrested for drugs.

A real model of a man in Law Enforcement let alone Police Chief. Every screw up along the way Spota promoted him. Which means he has must have the goods on Spota probably going back to the Puis case, when he was teenager. James Burke has already been referred to as "Possibly the dirtiest cop in America" by Newsweek Magazine, I think that is a powerful statement that defines it all.

He could have pulled that police vehicle all hours of the night or even during the day and dumped bins and body's who questions a police vehicle pulled over any where. What LE is going to pull him over and tell him to open the trunk? when he is in the department vehicle. Just like he said to friend "I want to be a policeman so I can do what I want"! It could have even started with Janice the student that went missing from his school that has never been found.

Above is a previous post of mine. The fact that Leanne saw Burke at a party in FRONT of everyone take a girl by hair and pull her down to the ground by her hair....you call that ROUGH SEX? that is an act of violence period! (BTW he was not having sex with her when he did it).

I made a promise that I wouldn't grant interviews, write a book, etc until an arrest is made.

That's just a further distraction for law enforcement and those in the media who aren't blood sucking, predators looking to shape reality to fit their narrative. Not a narrative to fit reality.

You might be wondering for a while, the poster has deleted the account. Which brings me on to two questions:

1 - Was it actually Leanne?
2 - It's been over a month and not even a morsel of information since.
 
The Gilbert's attorney seems like such an incredible hack milking this for personal publicity. Now that Mari Gilbert is deceased and one of her daughters in a mental institution, he will eff off now.
 
I disagree with that. He has supposedly been working pro bono for the Gilberts, and he's kept the story in the media. For him its job done, he's out of his depth so should pass it on to someone with more experience.
