Live: Douglas Garland trial — Nathan O'Brien's mother to testify
There are no bodies but prosecutors are trying to prove Douglas Garland is guilty of three counts of first-degree murder.
A 14-member jury will then hear from the prosecution’s first witness Monday — Jennifer O’Brien — whose parents and five-year-old son were allegedly murdered by Garland.
Garland, 56, is charged in the disappearance and suspected deaths of Alvin, 66, and Kathy Liknes, 53, along with their grandson, Nathan O’Brien. You can see all our previous coverage of the case here.
