Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington dies, 20 July 2017

Linkin Park was the first real band my son liked. Many memories of driving to my parents cottage and having my teen beg me to play it. Saddens me deeply my son is now 22 and struggles with addictions. He is so upset over this.
Addictions are just so evil. Jmo

Linkin Park performed the title track to their newly-released album, “One More Light”, on ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

I've been here forever but still not sure if I link properly.
Someone make sense of this. No one coincidentally hacked her stuff within hours of being notified he was dead.
Suicide just hurts my heart & brain so much.

Hi TobyWong*! Obviously, some nasty. hateful person hacked her account. It happened before.

Their first year of marriage saw the couple plagued by a cyberstalker, who sent bizarre emails to Bentley not long after she and Bennington had married.

She sounds like she appreciated and loved Chester very much. She and the children must be devastated.

Bentley often took to Twitter to share happy messages and moments with her husband, including ones from this past June. She referred to him as the “man of her dreams” in a post from Father’s Day, where she also thanked him for being a great father to their children.

Thank you for posting that video. The "bad neighborhood" in his head that he refers to IMO appears to be the "critical inner voice".

https://www.psychalive.org/critical-inner-voice/

The critical inner voice is an internal enemy that can affect every aspect of our lives, including our self-esteem and confidence, our personal and intimate relationships, and our performance and accomplishments at school and work. These negative thoughts affect us by undermining our positive feelings about ourselves and others and fostering self-criticism, inwardness, distrust, self-denial, addictions and a retreat from goal-directed activities.

Also found this today...So sad. Both are gone now.

And another one I thought I'd share...

Quite a few summers ago I saw Chris Cornell open for Linkin Park - maybe it was Audioslave? My memory says Chris solo. Anyway, Chester came out and sang Hunger Strike with Chris. It was incredible.

Chester Bennington’s Wife Breaks Silence After His Shocking Suicide: ‘How Do I Pick Up My Shattered Soul?’

http://people.com/music/chester-bennington-suicide-wife-talinda-statement-shattered-soul/

“The only answer I know is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left. I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love. We feel your loss as well. My babies are so young to have lost their daddy. And I know that all of you will help keep his memory alive. He was a bright, loving soul with an angel’s voice. And now he is pain free singing his songs in all of our hearts. May God Bless us all and help us turn to one another when we are in pain. Chester would’ve wanted us to do so. Rest In Peace, my love.”

This is so sad. I can't imagine what he must have been going through - I recall an interview of his in which he says that he shouldn't be left alone in his own mind because it's a "bad neighbourhood". He was so talented and yet so tortured, but that is so often the way of things.

My condolences to his family, friends and fans. He was loved by so many. He seemed to be a very sweet, caring man and had a smile that could light up an entire city. Rest peacefully, Chester. :rose:

Farrell, 40, also explained that he’s been “touched to see memorials that have been held worldwide” — and asked his fans to share pictures of events they’ve attended in memory of Bennington so he can repost them.

Article includes some pictures but you can see more of the memorials on Twitter.
