Hate to say it, but I've seen this guy get people off charges by omitting and twisting evidence, which IS his job I guess.

personal experience

Wasn't he GB-C's defence counsel assisting?

'Experts could not determine how the Gatton teenager died, and tests carried out after Jayde's death were inconclusive.

"The body was in an advanced state of decomposition," forensic pathologist Dr Beng Ong said.

He told prosecutor Vicki Loury there were no signs of Jayde suffering from any disease "that could have caused or contributed to death".

A bone from Jayde's upper neck was found with a slight defect.

Dr Ong told defence counsel Michael Copley, a radiologist who studied the U-shaped bone from Jayde's upper neck, found no sign of fracture.

Dr Ong said the abnormality could have been the result of manual strangulation, or could have been something Jayde was born with.'

Queensland Police Service forensic scientist Sergeant Diane Howard told the court the teen's body had been partially concealed in dead grass, but was still visible.
She said Ms Kendall's left hand, forearm and left foot were missing.
"I could see her curly, wavy hair outstretched," Sergeant Howard said.
She said Ms Kendall was wearing track pants.
Sergeant Howard said the missing limbs appeared to be as a result of animals in the area, with bone fragments found nearby.
"We searched the area and found bone fragments which would be consistent with scavenging," she said.
Sergeant Howard said Ms Kendall's shirt had been moved to cover her chin.
"This was pulled up to beneath her breast and the buttoned area was covering her face," Sergeant Howard said.

AYDE Kendall’s alleged murderer searched YouTube for the “best way to dispose of a body” the day before the schoolgirl was killed, a court has heard.

The evidence has emerged on day six of the Supreme Court trial of 21-year old Brenden Bennetts, who has pleaded not guilty to murder but admitted to manslaughter.

The court has been told analysis of Bennetts’ phone history discovered the YouTube search from August 13, 2015 at 12.19pm.

Jayde, 16, died the next day.

Queensland Police computer analyst Neil Robertson also gave evidence that Bennetts had deleted text messages sent between himself and Jayde from his phone.

It is also alleged Bennetts sent a text to himself at 3.58pm the day Jayde died, with the numbers “1849” — which the court has previously been told is Jayde’s PIN number for her bank account.

Mr Robertson said he believed they were the only messages deleted from the phone.

He also told the court the pair had exchanged 48 picture messages on SnapChat, which could not be recovered.

Under cross-examination by Bennetts’ barrister Michael Copley QC, Mr Robertson agreed he did not know what the accused man looked at or if he accessed anything at all when he searched “best way to dispose of a body”.

He agreed YouTube results could range from “sinister to humorous”.

The trial continues tomorrow.

EARLIER: Jayde ‘dragged by feet, covered in grass’

A SUPREME Court jury has been shown images of the location where schoolgirl Jayde Kendall’s body was found and told she may have been dragged by her feet to the spot south of Gatton.

Jayde, 16, was found dead in a paddock on August 27, 2015 — 13 days after her father reported her missing.
Jayde Kendall’s body was found in a paddock near Allens Road at Upper Tenthill.

Brenden Bennetts, 21, has pleaded not guilty to her murder and is facing a trial in the Supreme Court after his guilty plea to manslaughter was not accepted by prosecutors.

The jury was today shown photographs from the scene where Jayde’s body was found near Allens Road at Upper Tenthill.

The photographs depicted the site where her body was found but did not show the teenager’s body.

The court was told her body was covered in dead grass and her underwear was in the right pocket of her school trackpants.

There was also “some aspects of the body positioning that would suggest” she was dragged by her feet to where she was found by a local property owner, a Queensland Police scientist said.

It is alleged Bennetts killed Jayde after picking her up from Lockyer Valley District High School about 3.20pm August 14, 2015.

Jayde was dead by 5pm, it is alleged.

The court has been told the pair exchanged a number of text messages that day, including one in which Jayde said she was “nervous”.

It is also alleged Bennetts withdrew $70 from Jayde’s bank account and was captured on CCTV at the ATM in Gatton.

The trial continues.

Wow. His YouTube search the day before is DEFINITELY premeditated murder. Everything is stacked against him for Guilty of murder.

Did anyone else pick up on how he said in one of his interviews "she looked me dead in the eye"?

That's a pretty big giveaway there.

This wasn't a sex act gone wrong.

What 18 year old is into bondage anyway? Isn't that something more experimental at an older age?

My opinion. He had a fascination with violent sex and wanting to murder.

He probably can't be rehabilitated and best he stays locked up indefinitely.

If he is let out even after 20 years... he is still quite young upon release.

I'd be shocked if the jury didn't come back as guilty for murder. There is way too much stacked against him and NOTHING leading towards accidentally killing her.

Its incredibly sad for Jayde's family. And likely devastating for Brenden's family to also come to terms with.

BRENDEN Bennetts told a friend in England he was “trying to forget” the day after he allegedly murdered Gatton schoolgirl Jayde Kendall, a court has heard.

Bennetts, now aged 21, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter but is on trial in the Brisbane Supreme Court for murder as he denies he intended to cause Jayde’s death.

The jury has heard Bennetts is believed to have killed Jayde less than two hours after he picked her up from school on Friday, August 14, 2015. The 16-year-old’s body was too decomposed to determine a cause of death when it was discovered in a field on the outskirts of town 13 days later.

Jayde’s body was found in long grass on August 27 by retiree Tom Tate, who was investigating a strange smell on his property.

The court on Tuesday heard Bennett was speaking to a girl in England via Facebook in the days leading up to Jayde’s death.

Jury hears explosive allegations in Jayde Kendall murder trial

The court heard on Tuesday Bennetts was speaking to new friend Dillan Gilmore in England via Facebook in the days leading up to Jayde's death.

Bennetts suggested Ms Gilmore "check out BDSM" and made other sexually suggestive comments to the then 16-year-old.

"Not the hard core stuff, just the being tied down," Bennetts said on August 13.

Accused killer's consensual sex with Jayde Kendall went 'horribly and rapidly wrong', court told
BY ELLIE SIBSON
32 MINUTES AGO (as of 13 September 2017 18:12 AEST)

'Schoolgirl Jayde Kendall might have died after consensual sex with the accused went "horribly wrong", a Supreme Court murder trial has heard in Brisbane, as the jury retires to consider its verdict.'

'On the eighth day of trial his defence was presented to the jury.

Barrister Michael Copley suggested Ms Kendall was killed during consensual sex that went "horribly and rapidly wrong".

Mr Copley said his client had a "foolish and dangerous tendency to apply force to the neck" during sex but engaging in such behaviour did not prove the participant intended any harm.

Mr Copley said the prosecution's murder case was based entirely on circumstantial evidence and there was no motive for Bennetts to kill her.

Mr Copley said Bennetts' lies after Ms Kendall's death were consistent with someone who was ashamed of what he had done in accidentally killing her during sex.

"It doesn't look good to know that you did the act that caused her death ... because you are continuing to do this bloody stupid thing," he said.

Crown prosecutor Vicki Loury told the court Bennetts lied to police since they first began questioning him.

"For 13 days only Brenden Bennetts knew that Jayde was dead, for 13 days he let her family search for her — what a web of deceit he has woven," she told the court.

Ms Loury questioned why Bennetts had not called emergency services for help.

"If this was just a case of sexual misadventure ... why didn't he ring triple-0?" she said.

"If it was just a terrible tragedy why didn't he get her help?"'

Court hears details of Qld schoolgirl's death

BRENDEN Bennetts’ behaviour after he killed Gatton schoolgirl Jayde Kendall cannot be explained away by panic or fear, a trial has heard.

Bennetts has pleaded guilty to manslaughter but is on trial in the Brisbane Supreme Court for murder after denying he intended to cause the 16-year-old’s death.

The 21-year-old did not testify or give any evidence in his defence at trial. Defence barrister Michael Copley QC said in his closing submission on Wednesday Bennetts had been inclined to apply force to the neck of his sexual partners for years.

Mr Copley said it was that “foolish and dangerous” behaviour that may have led to Jayde’s death in 2015.

Gatton schoolgirl Jayde Kendall's death may have been the result of Brenden Bennetts' "foolish and dangerous" behaviour during sexual activity, a jury has heard.

Bennetts has pleaded guilty to manslaughter but has spent the past seven days on trial in the Brisbane Supreme Court for murder as he denies he intended to cause the 16-year-old's death in 2015.

His fate now rest in the hands of 12 Queensland jurors, who retired at 4.15pm today to deliberate their verdict.

The trial had heard Jayde was last seen alive getting into Bennetts' distinctive red Toyota Corolla after school about 3.20pm on Friday, August 14.

Her body was too decomposed to determine a cause of death when it was discovered concealed by grass on an isolated field on the outskirts of town 13 days later.

Justice Ann Lyons told the jury they must be satisfied beyond reasonable doubt Bennetts intended to kill or cause Jayde grievous bodily harm in order to return a unanimous verdict for murder.

I'll be surprised if the jury finds him guilty of murder. Sadly, I think that their verdict will be guilty of manslaughter. Hopefully, I'm wrong.
