This photo is brutal. Her face is incredibly burnt-- her lips, mouth, etc. Barnhart says #JessicaChambers had ash inside mouth.

Was she burned first, taken for dead, but while she was left alone managed to get out of the car and someone arrived and torched the car? Maybe. But since the intent was to kill her, wouldn't they look for her and make sure that she was deceased? That poor poor girl.....JMO

The door on the driver's side of the car was ajar and Jessica's cell phone was found broken in two pieces on the ground a few feet. from the door. A pile of burnt clothing was found a few feet beyond the trunk of the car. I don't recall whether the witness who saw the clothing said it belonged to Jessica, who was wearing underwear when she was discovered.

Based on this witness's testimony yesterday, I think Jessica was seated in the driver's seat when this incident happened and after she opened the door and escaped, she quickly dropped her cell phone that was in her hand(s) so she could remove her clothing. jmo

This is case is horrific!! I've been watching LawNewz on Youtube, and am sick at what we're hearing! My gosh! Did Jessica hide in the woods after being burnt? Or did she exit the burning vehicle? The will to survive is so strong in some people. Bless her. I read about the weed and hope it helped ease her pain some, though I doubt anything would have stopped that pain.

Has anyone seen that game you play that has a plastic piece you put in your mouth, and you say things, and the other players have to figure out what you said? Many times it's no where near what the person is saying because they can't use their lips or tongues to make the sounds, though the tongue is used. Imagine then that even the tongue isn't working right....most words I doubt you could understand.

Exactly...almost impossible to enunciate properly, can't pronounce consonants...

The defense table placed across from the jury brought back the scene from CA's trial . I wonder if any studies have been done on defendants facing the jurors leading to the jurors making a subconscious connection to the defendant ? The jurors are not sitting across from someone that looks like a hardened , ruthless monster , cruel criminal . They are sitting across from a well groomed man that shows appropriate expressions of sadness and shock at the testimony being given
