50/60 year old Amnesia Victim Savannah, GA Thread #2

I started reading one of the first threads and am only on page 2 - when I realized how many threads and pages there are on this case, I knew I would need help to catch up!!

I believe it's post 198, I did a summary of everything going on.

First, HI EVERYONE! I have been going outta my mind wondering how you all were doing. I can't get on here at work anymore.... :( :( :(

I am never going to get caught up. I spent time last night with Nurse Betty and was showing her how to post and get around on the web to get his picture out. We are going to have another tutorial tonight on how to post images, LOL. (first have to get my son from the airport! I can't wait to see him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Lots going on with me, working on other GA cases, and 1 FL, lol, at the same time! Thanks all of you for all you are doing! Flippin amazing. Even though you don't see me here, I am constantly working on something, on the phone, doing something. Last night I got home from work at 6 and I was on the phone with different people working on this and Cody Cook's case until after midnight! Just don't want you all to think I'm not helping

For all of you in GA, Nov 17th is coming quick, MARK YOUR CALENDARS! We are having a vigil for Steve Lankester...would love to see local Wsers there! I will do a sticky as it gets closer.

Start buggin' for a forum, hint hint. It would be great to line this possible outs in their own threads to be investigated one by one, hint hint.

Hi Christine:). Sorry you can't get on at work anymore--it must be driving you nuts! I figured you would still be working hard no matter where you were--you dedicated little wonder woman, you;). Thank you for the summary on post 198. I'm heading there right now.

Nurse Betty, I am glad that you are there for Benjaman, and I hope to do more to help as well. I just came upon this thread after being away for a while. And Benjaman, I hope and pray that you will discover who you were prior to 2004. You have new friends that care for you and are willing to go the distance to help you.

I am pretty sure we can rule out Ohio and New Jersey. I Checked doenetwork.org, charleyproject.org, theyaremissed.org, newjerseymissingadults.com, ohiomissingadults.com, http://webdb.state.nj.us/cgi-bin/njsp/mplist.cgi ( NJ State Police) ,
http://www.ohmw.org/missing.asp, http://www.stopcrime.org/missing.asp, projectjason.org

These are all I found. None of them are more than a ok match in my opinion but I figured I would include just incase I am over looking something.

! = ok match !! = good match !!! = excellent match

Thank You Gina M and christine2448 for the links. And Thank You SuziQ for the link and key words to search by.
As for William Herbert Pear, I can find nothing on him other than the listings on The Charley Project and The Doe Network. I searched via yahoo.com and google.com as well and nothing comes up other than those 2 pages. I also checked the Social Security Death Index for him and he was not listed there either. I really would like to know more about him. He just looks so much like him to me. He is the only one I saw so far with BK's nose. And I still think you can kind of see that puncture mark on his neck, but sadly the only picture we got of him is the right side. He is the right height, same color eyes about the right weight, has the same type of mustache too. Just a little fuller. He disappeared in 1985 so that would be about 19 years from when BK was found fits the 20 year gap comment as well. If anyone has any ideas for how or where I can search for more info on him I would appreciate it.

Listed below are ALL of the possible matches that have been posted on threads #1 & #2 as of this posting (72 total!). Hopefully this will help us to start weeding them out & prevent duplicate discussions due to double posting.

Christine, maybe we can start with Nurse Betty & see which ones she & BK feel can be ruled out? If any new ones get posted or if any are ruled out I will revise & post the list accordingly.

FYI - I added the state for each match so we can get an idea of exactly which states have been thoroughly researched. I'm going to work on FL tonight as there weren't a lot of matches posted from there. I also added the name of the poster who first posted the match as well as the thread# & post#, maybe we can assign some follow up on some of these guys based on who posted what.

City: Indianapolis My husband would like to find his father Jim Berry (Barry?). My husband was born in Gary, IN. Jim Berry was a truck driver who live in Alabama around 1969-70 maybe. Jim was married or with Cora in Ohio. Cora is Tom's mom. We have one picture. He was very tall and slim with curly brown hair. Probably blue eyes. Probably very charming. There may be relatives (sister and/or brothers) in Indiana. We would like to know Tom's health history, and I would like to know this for our daughters' sake. We would like to contact Jim Berry.http://www.cyberpages.com/minidb?program=persons&id=20262&action=showrecord

WOW, what a list! Boss is coming, have to work..dang, at least I got to catch up real quick.

Thinking of you all throughout the day. :blowkiss:

I thought William Pear looked the best match to me too. I think he should be checked out a little further. I think some of these can be quickly eliminated based on some of the scars etc on their descriptions. I had read one that had burn scars on him things like that I think we should rule them out pretty quickly.

I haven't given up on Indiana quite yet. I just keep on searching and searching. I searched the Indianapolis newspaper archives for a couple hours yesterday. Here is a link to The Indy star archives if anybody else wants to give it a go.

http://nl.newsbank.com/nl-search/we...p_product=IN&p_theme=gannett&p_action=keyword

I have also been looking at the Local Indianapolis Catholic High Schools, The Biggest ones are

Roncolli High School
Bishop Chatard High School (IN - Indianapolis

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School (IN - Indianapolis)
Cardinal Ritter High School (IW - Indianapolis)
Cathedral High School (IN - Indianapolis)

Maybe Benjaman and Betty Could take a peek around these school websites and see if anything looks familiar or rings a bell.

You can get to them here at http://www.archindy.org/oce/index.asp?action=sp_information

Do you think I should send his info to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis? Is it worth a shot. Maybe the could hang his poster up at the parishes.

Or maybe those of you that have myspace pages for him could add yourselfs to these schools on myspace and post a message on the schools message board.

That sounds like a good idea about the Archdiocese. I haven't done much with the schools on MySpace but that sounds like a good idea. I think that's how some people found my Sharon Marshall page. I have to get on a plane in a couple hours, but I'll do this as soon as I can - hopefully later tonight :)

I also sent a friend request to Leeza Gibbons on MySpace. Aside from being a journalist/former talk show host with a caring personality, she also runs a nonprofit that deals with people with memory problems. I think it is mostly conditions like Alzheimers, but maybe she would be interested in advocating for BK. Maybe I'll send her an email too.

KT Can - thank you soooooo much for those awesome lists! I saved the posts and will start working on side-by-side comparisons tomorrow (tonight's trick-or-treat and I'm also in the middle of designing a website) - seems there's never enough time!!!

GREAT job! Can you send the codes to my myspace page so I can post them on my page please? www.myspace.com/myawarenessgroup

Thanks in advance!
Did you get the code marysawol? If not, I can try to figure it out.

If anyone wants to add my public MySpace page, it is: All4Helping.

WOW! That's fantastic. Only one little recommendation. On the profile picture maybe it would be more prudent to use the image that shows the scar along his jaw. What does everyone else think?
Oh, good thought - I'll change it in a little bit and post a new one here. I'm trying to figure out the MySpace codes, too, to post here. I'll be back...

Okay, for people wanting to copy/paste to their MySpace bulletin - here are the codes:

Small banner:
BK_DoYouKnowMe01.jpg

CODE TO COPY/PASTE:
<img src="http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa113/lightingthewayhome/DoYouKnowMe/BK_DoYouKnowMe01.jpg"></a>

And, I don't know how well the big flyer will post to bulletins, but I redid it using all 4 photos on the bottom and made it a little larger (easier to read) - it's 7" x 8", but it would be good to email or print up (right-click and "save as").
BK_DoYouKnowMeLarge.jpg

If you wanted to try to post it as a bulletin, the code is:
<img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y79/Blue7/WS/MissingUID/BK_DoYouKnowMeLarge.jpg"></a>

ETA: Sorry, I think this might've blown the margins.

I just had another thought about Indianapolis. There is a Fort Benjamin Harrison here. It kinda closed up for some things back in the 90's . Maybe he lived near it, IDK. I remember my grandmother used to go to the commissary there alot for groceries and things.

I just found this, info and it seems the commisary is still open
Fort Benjamin Harrison was closed as part of the 1991 Base Closure and Realignment Commission. The Defense Finance and Accounting Service - Indianapolis is still located at the former post, as well as several U.S. Army Reserve and Indiana National Guard units, and a PX and commissary.

here is a link to old pics of Ft Ben

I could help with the side by sides if you needed help. Just let me know.

I wasn't able to do the comparison for the first person listed (AK- Bradley J. Kephart (KTCan#1#120))
http://www.dps.state.ak.us/ast/abi/graphics/Kephart.pdf as it was a .pdf file. I will see if I can find another photo to use for him.

If anyone wants to list what the pro's vs. cons are for each person I will add those to the comparison photo.

Great job, RKnowley! I'm going to work on some side-by-sides tomorrow. Just checking in before bed.
