Also it comes up as technically being in Ft. Lauderdale. The red star on the map seems to be showing the intersection of 184th Avenue and Route 818. Route 84 is a bit north. I tried to center the intersection of Southwest 184th Avenue and State Road 84 on this copy here:

Looks like there is a country club over there now, but I'm not sure if it was there in 1988. To the north there appears to be a large swampy area. Here's the aerial view:

I found Tequesta, and I think I found the Intracoastal Waterway, but I'm not sure where Channel 18 is. If I find more info I will post it here.

Can anyone else help us out?
