Let's Help David Lohr Get His Job Back From The Discovery Channel
David Lohr was laid off today along with other employees of the Discovery Channel.
David Lohr is a great friend to the missing in this country. We need him.
Please join me in letting the Discovery Channel know they made a mistake.
Maybe, just maybe, if enough of us write we can get his job back.

This is a very simple thing to do and it can make a big difference.
Thanks,
Tricia

Guys,
When you go to the link and it asks you for the show, you can pick "other." My problem is I have seen David Lohr all over The Discovery channel and don't know which show I should put down.
He is really a great guy. I hope we can help him.

Thanks Tricia !! David truly is one of the good guys, and the most objective, factual true crime writer I know of. He also has the biggest heart and gives of himself personally assisting the families with missing loved ones. I know of at least 5 searches he has been on, actually searching and not just reporting, in the last year alone. And most of it has been on his own dime.
It will be a great loss if we lose his insight and his ability to advocate for crime victims and the missing.
I've sent my letter !

I'm sending mine in... I am shocked by this news. David is one of the best crime writers out there, IMO... and barb hits the nail on the head. I truly hope he gets his job back...

David is a major profit center for Discovery. I really have to question who's making the decisions over there!

Me, too!
Something that peeves me to no end on this: his integrity is solid and his devotion to helping victims and trying to make a difference speaks of someone that is an asset to the Discovery family (and to society, at that). Yet, he loses his job... but a bounty hunter of questionable character, and who is currently up on felony charges, is given a Discovery show. It feels highly unfair... it feels like the good guy is getting shafted, big time.

Perhaps another (better) and bigger network will pick him up if we all show a lot of support. I know in my community, having David show up when women went missing and his contract with LE and the news media - really helped here otherwise no one may have noticed or cared to notice.
