Yesterday, there was an earthquake off the coast of Venezuela, it was so far away there was no damage anywhere to land.

Ok is it me or is there a lot of earthquakes all of a sudden. I have a kooky friend who says the earth's axis is shifting. I'm beginning to think she's not so kooky.

Go here to see all the earthquakes:

Red is today, orange yesterday, yellow last 2 weeks. Size of circle indicates magnitude.

Pretty much. I'm not a seismologist, though. Many of them you don't hear about because they are centered in the ocean and may only marginally affect populated areas.

This is so interesting. I am one that is afraid that the quakes will get bigger and badder.
Look at Calif! IIRC, years ago people worried about a section going into the ocean.........

Well thats somewhat reassuring. If I start feeling a quake here in Upstate NY(not unheard of),I'll start worrying.

I have felt at least 2 here in NY. I probably wouldn't have known what it was but lived in Cally. I think its very hard to describe unless you feel it. A total lack of control.
