I don't think so, because her mom is on fb looking for her on the "keep children safe" website.

Mom: Missing teen is not a runaway

Another day searching, another day of nothing.

Katy residents Christy and Paul Armstrong are looking for their 17-year-old daughter.

Chasity Armstrong disappeared April 16.

"We love and miss her so much," Christy said. "Our house is empty without her."

[snip]

Christy said there’s no way Chasity ran away.

"She didn’t take anything with her, not clothes, not her cell phone," Christy said. "She was acting completely normal that morning, and she has younger siblings she adores."

From the same article posted by Idaho

Quote:
Christy said she was told Chasity got off the bus with a boy at a different stop, that they went to a Wal-Mart, had a fight, and then he left her there.

“Total lie,” Christy said.

The next day the boy changed his story, telling Christy he dropped Chasity off with a woman Chasity refers to as “Auntie,” although there is no biological connection.

According to Christy, the “Auntie” said she does not know where Chasity is.

I read about this yesterday in the Houston Chronicle. If I had the money, I'd put a PI on that boy, get info from his family, friends etc on what, when etc he was doing on that day.
