Mother of four still missing from Alton
As of Monday night, police in Alton are still looking for 48-year-old Bonnie Woodward. She was last seen on Friday afternoon in a parking lot near her job with an unidentifed man.
Woodward's family says nothing about her disappearance adds up. Her boyfriend says she would never get in a car with someone she doesn't know, and would not go this long without contacting someone.

Family asks for help in search for woman
Police continued to search Monday for an East Alton woman who went missing last week, days before her 48th birthday.
[snip]
During a news conference Monday, Golike said several witnesses reported seeing the man in the parking lot prior to Woodward's disappearance. He is described as being white, in his mid-40s, with brown hair with gray at the temples.
[snip]
Golike said Woodward's vehicle was found in the nursing home parking lot with its windows down. Since vanishing, he said, she has not used her cell phone, credit cards or any other electronic devices.
[snip]
Golike said police remain optimistic about finding Woodward; however, if she is not found by mid-week, authorities plan on bringing in a cadaver dog to search the park.

Some family dynamics. Paraphrasing. Split up for ease of understanding and reading.
http://www.thetelegraph.com/news/alt...oman-help.html
Woodward lives with her boyfriend, Gary Wilmurth.
She is the mother of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 is a special needs child).
Woodward's oldest daughter and youngest son live with her.
Her oldest son is stationed with the U.S. Army, and her youngest daughter recently moved out.
The youngest daughter is also missing (not thought to be connected.) The 17-year-old left willingly several weeks ago and was last seen living at the home of a female teacher.
Wilmurth said that although Woodward had been upset by her daughter's disappearance, he doesn't feel she would leave the area voluntarily.

Family of missing Alton woman hopes for the best, fears the worst
The family of a missing Alton woman is now in its fourth day of searching.
Tuesday, volunteer search and rescue crews joined the effort, as the family hopes for the best while fearing the worst.
[snip]
Tuesday's search came up empty.
Woodward's family says it hopes for the best, but can't help worry about the worst.
"I'm hopeful, but I think we'll find something else," says Valdes. "I think it's foul play."
"If somebody out there does have Bonnie I wish you'd please let her go," says her boyfriend of several years Gary Wilmurth. "Let her get to a phone and call me. I'll come and get her."

Family searches for missing mother and daughter.
According to the following article the female teacher the 17 year old daughter was staying with is not talking about the teenagers disappearance according to Woodwards oldest daughter Jennifer Nunez.
http://www.fox2now.com/news/kplr-alt...0,853383.story
Mom and daughter go missing within 3 weeks of each other?
Teacher is allowing a 17 year old child to reside in her home?
Something is very wrong here. It concerns me greatly a teacher would have a 17 year old student or former student residing in her home and now this childs mother is missing 3 weeks later.
My immediate reaction was did mom get in the car with someone who was supposed to be helping her find her daughter? Could the daughter be somehow involved? What was the history that lead to the daughter moving out? Clearly her mother was very upset about this according to media.
Why isn't there more media and better pictures? I can't find good pictures of either mom or daughter.

Police also seek missing woman's daughter
June 30, 2010 5:37 AM
Police need help in finding a missing 17-year-old East Alton girl whose mother vanished last week in Alton after getting off work.
Police are asking for the public's help in locating Heather Woodward of East Alton . The teen is the stepdaughter of Bonnie Woodward, who last was seen Friday in the parking lot at her place of employment near Upper Alton.
As the Alton Police Department continued its search for Bonnie Woodward, East Alton police were working hard to find the daughter.
"We need to find her and talk to her," Police Chief Dwynn Isringhausen said.
Isringhausen said although he doesn't believe the two cases are related, he would feel better knowing the teenager's location.
<snip>
Isringhausen said that Bonnie Woodward reported Heather Woodward as a runaway to police on June 17. He said that Bonnie Woodward told police that her daughter had left home and was staying at the home of a female teacher.
"She wanted her daughter to come home, and (Heather) didn't want to," Isringhausen said.
He said that police questioned the teacher and even searched her home. He said the girl no longer is staying with the teacher, who told police she didn't know Heather's whereabouts.
"She is doing everything she can to help us find Heather," Isringhausen said.

The above article also indicates Bonnie adopted Heather about 10 years ago after her father died. No mention of the girls biological mom.
I'm worried for the both of them. I have this sinking feeling perhaps the two cases may be related.

Alton woman's disappearance considered suspicious
Police said Tuesday that the disappearance of Bonnie Woodward is suspicious because her car was left behind with its windows down, she has not contacted her special-needs child and her cell phone and credit cards have not been used.
[snip]
Police Chief David Hayes said the disappearance has no known connection to a report that Woodward's daughter left home voluntarily a few weeks ago. The daughter was 17 at the time but has since turned 18.

I am concerned about the lack of publicity this case is getting. She checked on her special needs son several times a day, according to what I have heard locally. She would not have up and left him.

If her boyfriend says she would not get into a car with someone she didn't know, I sure hope LE is interviewing everyone she knows or is acquainted with.

I agree - I live about 30 minutes from here and haven't heard anything until tonight on FB. Alton is not such a "nice town" either to be missing in. Lots of awful things happen around there.

I am thinking this too. Sounds like some stories I have seen on TV where the teen did something to the parents??
