NY-Long Island-4 bodies on Beach-Possible Serial Killer-Dec 2010 #2

I think the first post I ever made on WS was about this case and I believe I said something like "I am shocked at the lack of concern about this case on LI." I know I'm preaching to the choir by saying this here again, but WE NEED TO STEP UP AND DO SOMETHING. Fellow Long Islander's, this monster is snuffing out innocent lives and dumping them like trash IN OUR BACKYARDS. The body count is now up to EIGHT. EIGHT HUMAN LIVES HAVE BEEN CUT SHORT. Someone knows something and that person needs to DO THE RIGHT THING tell LE what they know, immediately!

Sorry for ranting, I am overwhelmed right now and frustrated by the fact that none of the fellow Long Islander's I've come into contact with today seem to give a d@mn.

These two locations are about 38 miles away from each other and the victim profiles are very different. It is interesting in that there are things that do appear the same.

I hope we get a profile very soon. Or better yet a booking Photo.

I have taken to searching sex offenders under the zip cod0e 11703 and 11704 , I am looking to see if there is the truck in a SO description. Then I will move to images and see if there is one in a driveway.

Haven't seen a map yet but the new bodies were between Oak and Gilgo.

This is the Monday after the 4th of July, which was on a Wednesday that year. Lots of people took Wednesday through Sunday as a very long holiday weekend. Maureen is still listed in NAMUS.

Looking at how OBP is runs across the Island like that It really does look like ,depending of where you are coming from, it could be the end of the earth in some aspects . I do think they might want to check some of the other islands. He didnt find his favorite place all in one day.

Again, this case will be covered on Nancy Grace tonight at 8pm.

Holidays

When I am looking at dates in relation to holidays... I always have to remember it isn't JUST the state and national holidays.

There is also a child's birthday, a family emergency, personal time, sick days, paid time off... etc. Which can be any day of the year. Those can account for a stray one that doesn't seem to fit a pattern.

Also interesting to note that none of these known cases in Long Island, or the other suspected missing women... occur in the "family holiday season." Despite many being near holidays. No Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years...

They are all May - September.

What is this guy doing from October to April?


Is it possible that this guy lives in New York during the summer... May - September... then moves somewhere else for October - April?

Or if he really only kills from May - September... maybe having some sort of trigger that is only present from May - September? Maybe stepchildren visiting or children visiting the other parent for the summer?

Besides the Atlantic City cases, are there multiple other bodies turning up somewhere else? People who went missing from October - April?

Especially if it happens to be in a place that is warmer than Long Island during the winter...

These Long Island bodies were not buried, so the ground being frozen shouldn't factor in to not killing people there during the winter.

However, having kids or family for winter Holidays... would make you less available...

Having a reason to move back and forth seasonally or a seasonal job would also explain it...

Having some sort of seasonal trigger during the summer would also fit...


The Atlantic City Murders were fall cases....

i remember the post, someone had qouted a poster on topix. i doubt the poster is the killer though. logically, the rate things were going it's definitely a serial killer. during the winter months they couldn't search much, so they are searching now since we had a thaw. hopefully a permanent thaw after this winter!

most all of the serial killers that have made national news have had a high body count, as was mentioned some people might expect it.

the bad thing is these girls wouldn't have died if it hadn't been for the serial killer.

the good thing is that their families will finally be able to have closure and be able to have their loved ones back to grieve. i don't mean this in any bad way- just that the knowing is better than not knowing what happened to their daughters, sisters, and mothers.

I've been following this story, but haven't commented before now.

I just wanted to touch on a few things that you guys were talking about.

That one truck on the Bing picture; I'm pretty sure that is some type of truck with a camper over the bed of it. It also doesn't appear to be a very new truck either, it looks more like a 90's Chevy pickup truck, with a camper over the back of it. If you look closely, it also appears to have 4 doors.

I'm not sure any of that matters, but that is what it looks like to me.

Not much to say, other than that. But I do agree that the perp is probably more likely to be an older guy, rather than young. And I also think he is probably more leaning towards being a professional type, just because of how careful and methodical he seems to be with these killings.

Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer said that the latest remains were found in an area between Oak Beach and Gilgo Beach.

The bodies were found off Ocean Parkway, the roadway between Jones Beach and Captree State Park, during an extensive search.

The westbound lane of Ocean Parkway from Captree Bridge to the Nassau County border was closed by police beginning at 7 a.m. Monday. It will remain closed on Tuesday as the search continues, Mr. Dormer said.

SG was last seen May 1, 2009. However, that was the wee hours of the morning. So, actually, the rendezvous took place April 30th? So those of you looking at the moon, would it be April 30th's moon?

Okay, that's a VERY interesting observation. There were 4 women in the Atlantic City group as well.
