Cynthia Frances Maas, 35, Found Murdered October 2010; Unsolved
Quote:
The remains of Cynthia Frances Maas, 35, were found in L.C. Gunn Park on Oct. 8.
Maas was last seen Sept. 10 in the area of Juniper Street and 19 Avenue. She was reported missing by family members and friends on Sept. 23 after she failed to check in with them.
Because Maas's body was found in the vicinity of the so-called Highway of Tears, the 800-kilometre stretch of Highway 16 that runs between Prince George and Prince Rupert, it has renewed calls for greater vigilance in the area.

Ms. Maas’s death is not being formally looked at by the special police unit investigating the Highway of Tears, although the team of 30 to 40 officers working on her case have been in communication with that unit, called Project E-Pana.
Ms. Maas was last seen Sept. 10 in Prince George, but wasn’t reported missing until two weeks later. An intense search was conducted this month for her and another missing woman, Natasha Lynn Montgomery.
The RCMP say Ms. Maas was slain, although they are providing few details beyond that, withholding the manner of her death and whether her body was moved from somewhere else to the wooded area near LC Gunn Park.
The 35-year-old Prince George woman had worked as a prostitute, but police were not dwelling on that at a weekend press conference. There was no mention that the area where her body was found is a haunt for prostitutes and their clients, nor was there a reference to Ms. Maas’s history. “The sole most important thing is that Cynthia is a victim,” Corporal Dan Moskaluk said.

Moskaluk said the latest homicide brings to mind the discovery of Cynthia Frances Maas, a 35-year-old sex trade worker who was found dead near the highway last month.
"We're all very sensitive to all of the incidents that have been ongoing in the northern part of the province," said Moskaluk.
Nobody has been arrested in Maas's death.

So this POS murdered a 15 yr old blind girl, along with these 3 other women - all mothers? He was probably only 19 when he started, I wonder if there will be others linked to him...
