He is a quadriplegic following a car accident 24 yrs ago. It is believed that the white van he might have gotten into with several people was going to Lake County.
He speaks to his Mother everyday by phone prior to going missing. He is the Father of two children and a Grandfather also.
He has been on heavy pain med for much of his life, the docs were trying to wean him off, if he's gone this long without them he might be having withdrawals.
His family believes that his pain meds that he carried with him might have played a role in his going missing.

R.I.P. Mr. Byrd
I hope that justice is found in this case. It is unbelievable that people would take advantage of a disabled man. With these specifics, it sounds like foul play.
