Circumstances of Disappearance
Tara Breckenridge was last seen leaving the Men's Club, an upscale adult night spot in Houston, Texas where she worked as a waitress. The security guard at the club told police that he walked Tara to her car and that she drove off without incident.
Her red 1986 Pontiac Fiero was found abandoned about three miles from the club. Foul play is feared in her disappearance.
Tara grew up in Del Rio, Texas, and was the third of five children in a devoutly religious family. After high school, she arrived in Houston to pursue a career in photography.

It gets confusing. All the missing and victims are being listed in the Case threads by year. It helps when you need to locate someone.

I put some of them in the right years but not all of them. I'd just leave them and add the rest to the correct years later.

Hello, I wanted to point out that the .jpg picture is misleading. I don't recall there being a Remington Hotel in Fort Worth and I'm not sure about Houston but there was one in Dallas. The Charley project link to Melissa references her car at a Remington Hotel in Houston along I-45. Also, I-45 runs through Dallas and south to Houston. I-45 is far to east from Fort Worth and runs parallel so it never meets FW.

Oops. I guess I searched for a Remington Hotel near the area from which she disappeared and came up with a Remington up north. The Doe Network didn't specify that the Remington Hotel was in Houston, which is probably why I made that error.

I know nothing about it and would like to get some background on this but I can't find anything like it and there's way too much out there right now to know where to start. All I know is that people have been murdered or found here? When did it start, and stop? Does LE have an opinion on it? Any other background info to know?

You just have to jump in. I have been researching these cases for 8 years now. There are so many single killers/abductors and then there are multiple serial killers. I started with the missing/murdered girls in the 70s and worked my way to present day. I include most Houston-area cases and others along I-45 up through DFW. I do not include cases along I-35 in my research.

Just watched the repeat of the 48 hours episode. So haunting and very sad.

I was wondering if the suspect in Mickey Shunick's case might have been involved, but he was in prison from 99 until 2008, and in the 95, 96 97 cases, he would have been a young teen.

I think he has left some type of mark on 45. Just my opinion
