The Pennington County Sheriff's Department, Search and Rescue, and multiple local fire departments are searching for 15-year-old Justin Lewis around the lake. Because Lewis is from the area, the search is personal for many of the rescuers.

Saturday search for missing teen unsuccessful
The Pennington County Sheriff's office concluded another unsuccessful search Saturday for the Hill City teen who went missing at Deerfield Lake.
"It’s unchanged. They didn't locate anything new today," said Cpl. Todd Battest with the sheriff's office.
[snip]
Battest said the sheriff's office planned to continue the water search Sunday with the help of two sonar boats from South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks.

This is a sad story. Boating is being restricted on the lake and divers are still searching. If he did in fact drown, I hope his remains are found for his family's sake.

This is so upsetting! Do they suspect he fell out of the boat and drowned??
I am praying for his loved ones and that he is found alive.

I hope he didn't drown. We were visiting in that area a few years ago and there is almost no crime there.

The search for a missing Hill City teen will continue Monday morning at Deerfield Lake, according to Sgt. Walter Eichler, of the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities’ weekend efforts were unsuccessful in locating 15-year-old Justin Lewis, who was reported missing Monday, May 28, when he did not show up to meet his mother after a solo kayaking trip at the lake.

Oh my....so sad by this news. Praying for this dear family. I know they have been worried sick about their boy. If this is Justin, then at least they will know what happened. That is some closure, at least.
My heartfelt prayers going out to them....

http://rapidcityjournal.com/news/sta...1e2b6ab54.html
Friends, family, and community members join together to honor the memory of Justin Lewis video at this link:
With the releasing of bright yellow balloons, the lighting of candles, and the singing of Amazing Grace, people in Hill City tried to heal their hearts and find peace.
A group of Hill City teenagers helped plan a vigil Sunday night to honor the memory of Justin Lewis.
Lewis, 15, went missing on Memorial Day at Deerfield Lake. An anxious search at the lake grabbed the attention of people throughout the region. His body was found about two weeks later.
Hundreds gathered at a Hill City soccer field Sunday night, the same field where Justin practiced with his club soccer team.
Members of the soccer team presented Justin's family with a signed soccer ball, a frame with Justin's retired number 6 jersey, and roses.
