Police checking link between Spierer, New Albany cases
Police are investigating whether any link might exist between the June disappearance of Indiana University student Lauren Spierer and a New Albany man recently arrested in connection with the deaths of three other women.

Group aims to make 100 Lauren Spierer posters

Bloomington Police said Thursday they've received more than 2,600 tips since Indiana University student Lauren Spierer disappeared last June.
It's been nearly one year since Spierer disappeared. Despite all that time, police still don't know what happened to her.

Lauren Spierer’s parents may learn within a matter of days whether a human skull found July 8 is that of their missing daughter, the Marion County, Ind., Coroner’s Office told The Journal News.
It would typically take eight weeks to get test results on a human skull, but forensic experts are extracting a tooth from the skull that will be cross-referenced with dental records for Spierer that are already on file, Deputy Coroner Alfarena Ballew said.

A man who was found in a Bloomington parking garage with two handguns and a shotgun has been ordered to give up the arsenal of weapons police later discovered at his home.

Lauren Spierer: Family still seeks closure in daughter's disappearance
The tips have dwindled and police in Bloomington, Ind., seem no closer to solving the June 2011 disappearance of Lauren Spierer, an Indiana University student from Greenburgh.
But her parents are continuing their efforts to keep the case alive through national media appearances, hoping to pressure those who were with her early on June 3, 2011, to be more forthcoming with them and law enforcement authorities.
“We know there is a person on this earth that knows what happened,” Robert Spierer told People magazine in an article published this week.
