CA - Linnea Lomax, 19, Sacramento, 26 June, 2012
Linnea Lomax was last seen Tuesday afternoon around 1:00 in the 800 block of Howe Avenue.
Lomax is described as white, 5-foot-2, weighing about 100 pounds. She has long blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and green pants.
Anyone with information about Lomax is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 916-874-5115.

Lomax's father called KCRA 3 on Tuesday night and said during her finals, Linnea had a nervous breakdown.
She was then admitted to a Sutter Health psychiatric hospital, he said, but doctors released her on an outpatient basis.

Search continues for 19-year-old UC Davis student missing in Sacramento
Friends and family of a missing 19-year-old Placerville woman they say is off her psychiatric medications, scared and without a phone or wallet are asking for the public's help in finding her.

That is the same clothing description that we were given during a search on 6/28. On that evening we were informed of possible sightings at "the mobile home park", the Costco off of Arden, and the light rail lines along Arden Way. All areas were searched with negative results.
It is shocking that such a unique individual, appearance wise, can remain missing in a relatively small but highly populated area. She has no means of support, communications, or handling personal hygiene, and yet she has been missing for four days now.
I hope, and pray, that she is found alive and well..... Very soon...

We're closing this thread until we receive confirmation that Linnea is still classified as a missing person by law enforcement. It's my understanding that the Sacramento Sheriff's Office turned the case over to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, but we're not sure of her classification at this time. If anyone can find such confirmation, please email the information with a link to WSManager@aol.com.

On June 26, 2012, Linea Lomax was last seen in the 800 block of Howe Avenue in Sacramento. At the time, Miss Lomax had been at a scheduled appointment at an out patient psychiatric hospital. Miss Lomax had previously suffered a nervous breakdown due to finals at UC Davis. Linnea left for lunch with no identification, no money and no transportation. Her current whereabouts are unknown. Linnea has not been seen or heard from since. There were possible sightings in Sacramento County, all of which are unconfirmed. Linnea is classified as a Missing Person at Risk.
The preliminary investigation was conducted by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and later transferred to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department. Detectives from both agencies have been working closely with the family as well as with the Help Find Linnea Foundation, which was established by friends and family of Linnea. The foundation has set up a command post in Sacramento with more than 900 volunteers. Several social network sites have been established as well as a tip line. The family has advised that they are also in contact with Mark Klaas, the father of Polly Klaas and the driving force behind the Polly Klaas Foundation.
The initial report was that Miss Lomax was “voluntarily” missing and is choosing to stay away from family and friends.The investigation showed no signs of kidnapping or abduction.
Detectives, family and friends are asking for the public’s help in finding Linnea. Linnea has not been seen or heard from in more than 1 week. The family is concerned if she left voluntarily without any means of survival, she is now in grave danger due to not taking her prescribed medications.
The family has advised that a reward of $5,000 is being offered for any “Information leading to the safe return of Linnea”
