NC - Timeka Pridgen, 16, La Grange, 12-May-2001
LA GRANGE, N.C. — Investigators and relatives are stumped more than nine years after a 16-year-old girl disappeared from her home in Lenoir County.
Cosandra Best last saw her daughter, Timeka Pridgen, at their home in La Grange, east of Goldsboro, on May 12, 2001.
Best said she came home to rest and wait for her boyfriend. She dozed off and woke up around midnight to find that Timeka was missing and her boyfriend, then 31-year-old Eric Moore, had never showed up.
"I started looking around to see if anything was missing, and I saw that the shoes that she was wearing was still there (and) her purse. That's when the panic set in," Best recalled.

After her daughter disappeared, Best learned from police about her boyfriend's criminal past: convictions for a sex crime, kidnapping, assault and theft.

Did the police ever trace the boyfriend's whereabouts that evening? Seems like they really didn't look into this all that much...

16-year-old girl vanishes without a trace
Timeka Pridgen was last seen alive on September 9, 1984 in La Grange, North Carolina. She was last seen at 10:15 p.m. are her home. She has never been heard from again. Police initially considered Timeka a runaway, but investigators now think she may have been forced out of her home. Timeka was barefoot at the time of her disappearance and left all of her belongings behind.

BBM is Timeka's DOB.
Timeka was last seen alive on May 12, 2001.

Interesting......
I hope the link works.....it shows Timeka's then boyfriend has been in jail since 2006 on an attempted 2nd degree sexual offense. Projected release date is in 2015.
