Kayla Marie King was last seen on July 11 in Whitmire, SC, near on Jalapa Road near Asais Branch Road.

It appears that her last location was in the middle of nowhere. It's a national forest, and it's extremely rural. The story doesn't provide a lick of information about what might have happened to her or even how they know she is missing.

That's what I thought, like LE was looking for her. (Thank You HMan) Couldn't determine if she was wearing scrubs, like a nurse or hospital worker, or if it was a mug shot. All I know is what I heard on the local news, to contact LE if someone had seen her. No telling, here in SC, folks get vague about what they report.

If you notice, her hair is kinda tucked into the neckline of her shirt. I think that means she just changed and was hustled into the next room to take the pic--so a mug shot IMO.
Looked around, no other info.

Yes. I think it's a mugshot. They are actually more common in missing persons cases than most realize. But they frequently make it less obvious by cropping the photo a little better. I don't think LE is after her. Otherwise, I would expect a mention of an arrest warrant or that she is a suspect. Plus, it doesn't seem like a criminal would be last seen in the middle of the forest. So I think there's concern for her life.
