She may have taken her iPad...if her iPad had iCloud set up on it, her family could go to iCloud.com and enter the Apple ID and password associated with her iCloud account and click "Find my iPad" and it will show where it is on a map. 2 caveats: If it is a Wi-Fi only iPad, it will only appear on a map if it is within the range of a Wi-Fi signal. Also, she would have to have Find my iPad enabled on her iPad...but the choice to do it or not is part of the set up process...

And certainly hope she is safe and located quickly.

I wonder what led them to believe she ran away? We have kids, girls that have Ipads in my neighborhood, and I guess they don't have a connection at home, so they go out on our street looking for wifi connections from neighbors. I bet that is what she was doing....

I too wonder why they are saying she ran away. I think kids should be considered "missing" until proven that they are a runaway with evidence or habit. I hope that police have not immediately classified her a runaway due to her age. Does her family think that she ran away? I know that leaving her home at 10 p.m. may seem like a "runaway", but she may have just been leaving to meet a friend. I hope that they question friends and look at her phone/internet records immediately to look for clues.
Prayers for this beautiful girl.

My dearest brother recently passed away from ALS (AKA - Lou Gehrig's disease). It is an terrible disease without a cure, without a known cause, and is only diagnosed by elimination of other diseases. He is my hero!! He accepted the fact that he had to endure this disease, and he stayed positive even though I cried many times since he was diagnosed in early 2011. I know that he rests in peace knowing that he lived a good life here; and he will be blessed up there! May I always honor his memory in being a good person too!! I love you big Bro (also known as the gentle giant). 10/25/2012
