Pendleton police seek missing boy

The Pendleton Police Department is looking for 13-year-old Thomas James Alberti. Lt. Bill Caldera says he left his residence late Thursday morning via his bedroom window. He left a note behind indicating that he might harm himself.

Alberti is a light-skinned Native American, 5 foot, 5 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair that is now longer than shown in his most recent school photo. It is not known what he is wearing,

Caldera said "A Child is Missing Alert Program" has called residences within 4.7 miles of Alberti’s address to ask if they have seen him. He said Pendleton Police have been in frequent contact with the family and anyone associated with the Alberti or his family.

Wait, it says he was last seen by his family at home at 10:45am after being grounded and then it says he was seen at the aquatic center at 1pm. I hate when the media gets such important information wrong. Let's hope they clarify.

Sounds like he was last seen *by his family* at 10:45. Then went to the aquatic center, where someone else saw him.

He had just been grounded and was in the midst of running away. Unfortunately, he did not tell his friend where he was going, and police have had no luck with his other friends. James has a history of running away, but never for more than a few hours. If you see him, please contact police immediately and bring James home safe.

Scares me that he threatened to harm himself. I hope he was just mad at his folks and wanted to scare them. But 13 is a very volatile age. I hope he does not feel too desperate.
