"If you want to accuse someone of a crime you have to prove it... And that's why the jury took less than 11 hours. I've heard the criticisms saying - um -they didn't even ask to review any evidence. Man to sue Judge Perry, state over free speech zone arrest

An Orange County man is threatening to sue Chief Judge Belvin Perry and the state of Florida over free speech zones that were set up during the Casey Anthony trial.
During that time, protestors were allowed to gather only in that zone.
Mark Schmidter handed out pamphlets outside that zone last year and was arrested.
Schmidter was sentenced to 151 days in jail, along with another man who got about the same sentence, for indirect criminal contempt of court.
Perry also said Schmidter and his co-defendant, Julian Heiklen, were tampering with jurors because their flyer message suggested that jurors not find guilt in cases where there is no victim.
Schmidter and his attorney plan to file the lawsuit sometime Tuesday.
Perry's office has not commented on the subject.

There had been speculation on whether Anthony's probation ended on the one year anniversary of her release from jail that was earlier this month.
Attorney Charles Greene confirmed the actual end date is on Aug. 23.
The Department of Corrections said Anthony is still on supervised probation somewhere in the state of Florida, but would not say when it ends for security reasons.

Casey Marie Anthony Back In Jail?
LABELLE, FL. -- A notification of status change by the Florida Department of Corrections indicates Casey Marie Anthony is back in custody, presumably in an undisclosed jail somewhere.
The message from the Department reads in part: "The inmate...CASEY ANTHONY with offender number X70160, has returned to custody as of 7/26/2012."
The offender number matches that of Casey Marie Anthony. The notification does not indicate a location where she may be or a release date.

ETA: UPDATE: The Department of Corrections did earlier today indicate Anthony was "in custody." As of approximately 6:30 p.m. (ET) they now indicate she is "under supervision." It would appear there was either a clerical error made today by the Department as they stated "in custody" or she was in fact arrested but released later on bond.

At 8:15 a.m., Friday July 27th, the Department's record keeping office confirmed that Anthony was in custody in an unnamed prison facility of the Florida Department of Corrections and indicated the online records had not been updated as yet this morning to reflect that.

The Orlando attorney who made headlines last year for defending “tot mom” Casey Anthony is planting roots back home again. Miami native Jose Baez is opening a branch of the Baez Law Firm in Coral Gables next month, dabbling in criminal defense, personal injury and immigration.

“Florida’s public-record law needs to bow to a defendant’s right to a fair trial,” he said. “Some woman sitting behind her computer with nine cats knows more about the case than anybody. What you end up with is a dog and pony show, and people want to march in the parade. I think it is severely perverting justice.”

ORLANDO, Fla. - Corrections officials released Monday what is expected to be Casey Anthony's final probation report.
Anthony was checked on Thursday. At that time she reported still being unemployed.
