Amyjane Nicole Brandhagen was found in a Travelodge hotel the victim of a homocide.
Amyjane had travelled the world and helped with missionary type work.

I'm quite staggered that no one seems interested in this case. Especially when it seems this poor girl is an innocent person (ie not into drugs or the seedy side of life).
I just wish there was more information on the progress of this case. Since I'm not from the states I don't seem to get the same access to the types of newspapers available.
I hope there is justice for this poor girl. It's so sad that someone who appears to posses such a nice heart is taken way before their time in a violent manner.
I hate the fact there are creeps out there who think they have the right to take another's life.

They aren't saying if she was on duty or not. Was Amyjane cleaning the room?

The only other thing was the woman at Pendelton Oxford Suites who was pushed into a room by a stranger a week prior to Amyjane's death.

snipped... Though the teen couldn’t have known she would die so young, she had earlier wondered about how her life would play out. In a poem written a couple years ago, after the death of a close family friend, she questions:
“Will I die young and bold, like I do in my dreams? Or will I die old and wise with a chance to learn and grow?” and wonders, “Will I have an impact on my little world?”
The 2011 Pendleton High School graduate later penned the following in her high school yearbook: “I may not be able to change the world, but at least I can be a splash that starts the change.”
...After graduation, Brandhagen joined Youth With A Mission for six months, traveling to India, Nepal and Kathmandu to work with children and the homeless. Regarding Brandhagen’s poetic question about whether she would impact her world, Thatcher said, “Amy nailed it.”

"Just a gentleman walking up and down the street, pacing the road," Troy Powell, adding that he's never seen that man before and isn't sure he's connected.

it seems someone was watching her - whether it be a guest, an employee, or perhaps a stalker

tarabull thank you so much for all these updates, you are such a godsend, I'm just glad that this is being taken as seriously as one would hope a murder is taken. I am a little concerned that the crime lab doesn't want to test all the evidence, one would worry that the piece of evidence they don't test would be the crucial piece.
I may live on the other side of the world, but for some reason this murder has affected me more than others. I am always on websleuths reading the cases, but hardly ever post. I think it just has something to do with the fact that Amyjane appears to have been such a wonderful soul. I'm not into religion, but Amyjane was using her faith for good and helping others.
What happened to the other woman a week earlier might be relevant, I hope she got a good look at the perp and was able to provide a good description to police
I hope this case stays current in websleuths, I know I'll contune to look for updated posts.
thanks again tarabull, I appreciate your efforts for AmyJane. Thank you too Filly for starting the thread and staying interested. Sometimes When I read about someone who was taken before their time like Amyjane and I read about the type of person they were- I kinda wished I had known them.

Murder of a Pendleton teen still a mystery
In the weeks since Amyjane Brandhagen's lifeless body was found at the Travelodge Motel there are more questions than answers.
Police have said very little. No suspects named. No cause of death made public.

Officials tell KEPR evidence in Amyjane's case is a top priority but it will take some time before results will be handed back to Pendleton police.

This case is so terribly sad. Amyjane seemed to be a wonderful young person who would have been a great asset to the world. I noticed that she went to a Free Methodist Church and went on mission trips for the church. Our family went to a Free Methodist church for 8+ years and my kids, as teens, also went on mission trips for the church to places like Mexico and the Dominican Republic. It is upsetting and scary to see that things like this are happening to young people in places where people are usually considered to be safe. I sure hope they find and punish her killer, and that no more of these murders will happen to innocent young girls (or to anyone).
