How do they go from "never outside the apartment alone without a parent" to "history of running away". Which is true here? Kiley needs accurate reporting and honest info from family and friends. Every truth can help find her!
I do hope the FBI and homicide is for the reason they say- to utilize all resources available.

It's very concerning when a young girl, who just turned 13, has a history of running. Hoping for a positive outcome.

I wondered the same, but seeing both of the statements together, I'm going to guess "never outside alone without a parent" is due to loss of priviledges more so than 'helicopter' parenting.

I wonder why she keeps running away? Is the reason linked to Kiley going missing? Praying for a good outcome that she is staying with a friend and is safe.

Wouldn't she wear clothes, shoes, coat if she was planning on running away? If correct, her family says she was only wearing her pajamas.

That's why I thought about 13 year old Brooklyn Gittins. She slipped out a window in pajamas with no coat or shoes - in January in Utah. She had run away with a 55 year old man.

I assume an AMBER alert was not issued because LE thinks she's a runaway.
North Carolina AMBER Alert Criteria:
- age 17 or younger,
- believed to have been abducted,

This is a weird mess isn't it ? Conflicting stories about her running away before and who fell asleep on couch and noise or no noise? What does concern me is her size. She seems very small and kids that small can easily be overpowered and carried off.
Did the press conference not say much ?

I don't how to post a map on my iPad, but here is the area that she lives. Providence HS is #1. Providence Court Apt is left of the HS. She might live off Beverly Crest but I'm not sure those are gated. Providence Court is. There is another community across the street from the HS, but it's not gated either.
This area has very little crime outside of larcenies, etc. it's nice & well kept.

I think both can be true. It's possible that because of her history of running away, they no longer allow her to be outside the apartment alone without a parent.
