Ask a family member who is color-blind to look at those pictures. Because they can't rely on colors, they have a highly developed ability to pick out shapes amid clutter. The more color-blind he is, the better for this purpose.

I can see the image you're describing. If that's an old photo it's either covered in plastic or it was protected from the elements these past 6 mos. No way that would have survived. Looks like early 1900's to me tho, not 50's.

So it does look like a picture !! I'm not crazy ! And you're right, it does look dated to the early 1900's. I wonder if it was maybe something tucked into the book and just wiggled it's way out with the elements...

I have some metal photos like that of my great great grandfather. Being on metal plates they will survive almost anything. The ones I have are from the 1800s. I wonder from the pose, and the looks of it, if that could be metal.

That would explain why they took the picture frames from the Anthonys maybe.

This would not be the first time someone made a mistake.

Like I said before, the time stamp on this photo is definitely before the bad was removed. The focus of the photo is clearly on the bag, the "skull" that we are seeing is not up in the air but laying on the ground at the base of the bag on top of some brush.


If you look at the orig photo you can see the image still looks like a skull.

This was a big boo boo IMO.

If you zoom in 400% on this photo you can see a little tiny chubby little face that looks like Caylee to the left of the alleged ductape. Coincidence, I know...but still. RIP little baby.

well at least now I feel a little better knowing I haven't lost my sanity !

I have obsessed over these photos pretty much all day! Not because of the macarbe aspect of them, but because it is something I feel like I can "do". Does that make sense?? This case has been so passive - after the initial flurry of MySpace and Facebook investigation, there wasn't much to "sleuth". Anyway, I no longer thing we are seeing either a black bag or a skull. Here are some pictures I have tried to explain with my cheap MS Paint program:

1. The "Black Bag" - Early Crime Scene Photo.

2. The "Black Bag" area after some vegitation has been removed and after a tent has been errected.

I know there are those out there who are going to say that all of this agonizing over photo's is stupid, but I don't think it is a waste of tiime. For one thing, we hone our skills by doing this sort of analysis. When Eve Carson was kidnapped and killed, LE released the ATM photo of the perp, and many here at WS's detected the presence of a second individual in the backseat WAY before LE ever mentioned it. The picture that was released by Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation of an "injured woman" who they were trying to identify - we at WS's determined that she was dead, found the original photo, and determined that she was Middle Eastern; from a single photo. Thus, I make no apologies for analyzing these pictures. I feel this is as valid as anything else we do on WS's. :crazy:

I see it too. Now someone please humor me and try something I just did and see what you come up with. Crop and rotate that picture different ways and enlarge it again and use your imagination to see what you think, or if my eyes (and brain) are gone.

Sometimes it almost looks like a picture of Caylee, and rotate again and it almost looks like 3 people with a man (GA?) standing behind someone else. Of course, it also looks like Spongebob if you squint hard enough, lol...

this photo is a straight ahead shot.

when picked up the bag it could have rolled into the woods instead of towards the road. that wait it would show above the bag. gwim?

All I can see is that frightened "face" gazing leftward. It was the first thing I saw last night, and tonight it's still there. The image won't go away no matter how many times I blink or zoom in and out. It's like switching between the old crone and the woman at her vanity, but this time I can't. Strange how the mind works.:waitasec:

Rotating the photo by a 90 degree counter clockwise turn, it looks like a posed black and white photo of Casey.

Thanks for posting this, Egoslayer. I can make out the picture in the evidence photo much better in this one (top left of "skull") It really looks like a three quarter head shot of Casey Anthony. It appears to be a dark-haired girl or woman with hair parted in the middle. The photo seems to curl, obscuring the mouth area, but the neck is visible.

If I'm not mistaken wasn't it later in the day on 12/11 that the ME removed the remains from the area. If this is correct, then according to the exif data on this picture it was made before anything was taken into custody from the site....so it's very possible that it is Caylees book that might have been in the bag with her, and the bag is more than likely the one that the MR found. Below is the part of the info embedded in the picture, I bolded the date/time the picture was made.
