GARY | Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman shot and killed Sunday morning in Gary.
According to Gary police, officers responding to a report of gunshots fired found a woman shot multiple times in the front yard of a home in the 2500 block of Tyler Street a little after 4 a.m.

it is very difficult to get a clean link to the story here, but the victim was identified as 24 y.o. Mirtasha L. Heath. she is #17 on the murder list for Gary, IN for 2010:
