I am, I am! I grew up in L.A. and have been in a couple of bad quakes. I was really disappointed when I found out SLC is third on the mostly likely to have a quake list.

I'm confused not only about them saying they have DNA evidence on the Oct. 22 case (which we didn't think they did!!) and also, how do they have DNA from the Nov. 13 case if the perp ran away after she kicked and screamed?

About 5 p.m., a 21 year old UNR student was grabbed and fondled by a man in the parking lot of her apartment complex in the 400 block of College Drive. The victim kicked the man and screamed and the suspect ran away.

from what i understand, they found some packaged condoms at the site with the suspects DNA on it...he must have dropped them?
It's enough to surprise your attacker to give you some time to run!
I hope he's that stupid. And I hope he drives the pickup truck there. :crazy:

creepy...i was thinking the same thing when i read about the upcoming memorial...

Hey, I saw this posted on a blog. Apparently, a man raped 4 women in Atlanta, ALL on the night of Jan. 13, using the same come up from behind tactic. The description of the perp has similarities to the Reno one, thought the Atlanta one had "distinctive green eyes." You can view the video here: http://www.wsbtv.com/video/15188982/index.html.
I know posters have brought up that maybe the perp travels...he very well could have raped in Georgia on the 13th and been back in Reno the next week...

I doubt he will be there. However, he could very well think the ALL the LE will be there and not covering the streets. He may see this as an opportunity to abduct his next victim. He could see this as a victory over LE.

Wow, I feel bad for the officers. I can see how this would be too much for them. There is just no way they can be expected to keep every student safe. I know Garcia means well, but I think they need to look at hiring more officers, at least temporarily.

I learned years ago while training for K9 SAR that about 10% of serial killers insert themselves into the investigation and/or the search for a missing victim(s). This happened when I was searching for a missing woman, Darlene Anderson in 1994.
Ever since about 1995 or so LE has been videotaping and/or takes pictures of the groups of people and their vehicles who volunteer on most searches that I've been on. I think this is a good idea.
This slime may be feeling so empowered and feel like an expert in the case and that the victim was, "his" that I wouldn't put it past him to go to that memorial. He may also want to feel that he has some level of power in the investigation. I'm not saying that I believe that he will only that I wouldn't doubt it.
