Orange County Coroner Case # 92-06012-LY http://egov.ocgov.com/ocgov/Sheriff-Coroner%20-%20Sandra%20Hutchens/Commands%20and%20Divisions/Professional%20Services%20Command/Coroner/Unidentified%20Dead/John%20DOES/92-06012-LY

NamUs UP # 7680 https://identifyus.org/en/cases/7680

The Doe Network Case File 106UMCA http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/106umca.html

Age Estimate: 32-37
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Brown
Height: 68”
Weight: 204 lbs.

Found on October 14, 1992 in a grassy area north of "The Inn at the Park", Anaheim, Orange County, California. NamUs lists him as being found at 101 The City Drive South, Orange, CA 92668.

The cause of death was suicide (Jumped from height, 14th floor).

The decedent was wearing denim cutoffs, "Arizona" shirt with cactus, and black leather tennis shoes. He had a pierced left earlobe with a cross shaped stud earring. He also was wearing a black wristwatch and a yellow metal ring with a clear stone. He wore glasses. Two Greyhound bus tickets dated October 13, 1992, one from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, another from Los Angeles to Anaheim and the stub from a one-day passport to Disneyland, were found in his pockets. At the time of his death, he had a buck knife in his possession.

His dental information can be seen at the Orange County Coroner link.

I couldn’t find this unidentified man listed on Websleuths and he is someone I have really wanted to see identified.

I found 2 potential matches, I'm not too sure about some of the demographics but I thought they might be worth mentioning...

John Kreyche http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/k/kreyche_john.html

I mention John because of all of his traveling before his disappearance. He also wears glasses. John does have criminal record that I found in Arizona http://www.azcorrections.gov/Inmate_datasearch/results_Minh.aspx?InmateNumber=056929&LastName=KREYCHE&FNMI=J&SearchType=Search But I couldn't tell if he had a history in any other state...

Stephen Kovitch https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/8755/16/

Stephen was suffering from Depression and his parents last heard from him on 08-21-92. His vehicle was spotted on a parking deck at Detroit Metro Airport. His bank said that Kovitch's last transaction was a check made out to cash for $300. http://www.clarkstonnews.com/1editorialbody.lasso?-token.folder=2005-03-30&-token.story=120294.112112&-token.subpub=

John Kreyche was 8 inches taller than the Disneyland Doe.

As for Kovitch, hmmm.
Height, hair, eye color match. Time missing is possible and plausible. Weight is heavier for the Disneyland Doe. I could not find a cause to rule him out but could not find a picture of him either.
Anyone got one?
If the pic could be him, I'd submit.

I found this old article, but no pic. :sigh:

Stephen Kovitch is someone I definitely saw as a possibility, but could never find a photo of him, so I just saved his profile on NamUs so that I would be notified if a photo was ever posted. Plus, the decedent has (IMO) a SE European look to him (he actually looks a lot like someone who I used to know that was Serbian) and Stephen Kovitch relatives were probably from that area.

I found an article about the UID on the LA Times website --
http://articles.latimes.com/1994-04-26/news/mn-50674_1_orange-county
John Doe, clean-cut, short-haired and baby-faced, might have passed for an accountant on vacation. Of average height with a good build, he wore cut-off jeans. Stuffed in his pockets: two Greyhound bus tickets dated Oct. 13, 1992, one from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, another from Los Angeles to Anaheim. Also: the stub from a one-day passport to Disneyland, "the happiest place on earth," the stub said. It was dated the day of his death.

Examining his teeth--one of the first steps in a Doe investigation--coroner's officials were encouraged by what they saw: seven fillings and a crown. If he had been a transient, he probably would not have had such dental work.

They dispatched copies of his fingerprints to the state Department of Justice, the FBI and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, hoping for a match. They sent Teletypes to police departments in the western United States, urging them to check missing persons' lists.

If only the missing persons reports were checked in the western states, probably the LE investigating Mr. Kovitch's disappearance were unaware of the man in Anaheim.

The contents of Disneyland Doe's pockets tell a very sad story. Vegas, then Disneyland, then exited this world. It sounds like it would be consistent with the reported depression of Stephen Kovitch.
Anyone see a bio of him, what high school he went to? A yearbook pic would be outdated but sometimes you go with the best thing you have.
It is odd that the news reports at the time of his disappearance don't have a picture.

I just tried my father in law's name and Intellius showed that it has records for him, but with the age he would be today. He passed away 7 years ago. So yes it could be him but it does not mean that he is alive.

What about Lawrence Edward Wells III?

Age, Height, Hair & Eye color match
Weight is off
Circumstances are off

http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/mpch/m...='M10/5/200110:03:30AM'&Person=Missing Person

Lawrence Edward Wells III reminds me a little more of this UID, but the height is way off. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88885 I don't really see it because they (Disneyland John Doe and Mr. Wells) seem like they have a really different style, but I could be wrong. I wonder why LE believes that Lawrence Wells III met with foul play?

Stephen Kovitch has been excluded as Disneyland Doe today, NamUs should be updated. They can not divulge the basis but given how quickly they did it I would guess prints or dental on file.

Recently, Mark William Kotlarz was added to NamUs. He is about the same height as the man found in Anaheim, his weight and age estimates are a bit less but he has brown hair and green eyes (which could probably be mistaken for blue). He disappeared from Riverside County, which isn't very far from Anaheim or Las Vegas (the location the bus ticket was from).

The biggest negative I can see is that Mr. Kotlarz has a previously fractured right arm and a scar on his right arm and there is nothing like that noted about the UID.

How about Joseph Stuart missing Oct 1991. White male, 68 inches, 190 lbs, brown hair and blue eyes. Landlord found notebooks that contemplated suicide. Friend said he mentioned going to Reno, Nevada to look for job. No picture, but dentals available.

Just saw this case was updated on Doenetwork recently. Nothing really was added that strikes me as being pertinent, but I'm surprised that this guy hasn't been identified yet. His last few days sound like they were pretty sad.

ETA: What does anyone think about Randolph Leon Brookshire? Height is slightly off but from where his vehicle was found it looks like he may have been headed towards California.
