I'm a bit confused, too. If EB helped LE locate the mattress, possibly knowing there's evidence on it, then why not just lead them to her body? Wouldn't knowing where the mattress is (if she's talked, and i think she has...) be as incriminating? Just spill it, woman! There's no way out now!!

 <--closest thing to headshake i could find quickly.

unless, he was really dumb and didn't know what was going on and EB fed him lies which he believed because he was too dumb or didn't care. She could hae said, could you help me move Zahra's old mattress out to the dump? Him thinking Zahra's was all tucked in her bed asleep or something.

Perhaps EB had pillows propped up in her bed too look like Zahra was in bed, I mean this man seems to be clueless and non emotional about anything.

The only time frame I heard referenced about the mattress, was early October. Not 2 days before they reported her missing.

This is the only link I can find at the moment that refers to "days" but I'm pretty sure it was copied word for word off of MSM ? Anyone have the original article?

The mattress belonged to the missing 10-year-old and was disposed of by Zahra's parents days before they reported her missing on October 9.

This man is guilty as sin.

Anyone who can court someone over the internet, save enough money to fly her overseas, wed her, return to a foreign country with your young child, work numerous jobs, move numerous times, own cars, and write bad checks? No, he might seem slow.....but he's just guilty.

Of course, this is just my take on things....and has been from the start. Been wrong before and surely will be again at some point....so bear all that in mind.

I can't buy the unknowing AB theory. It was a twin mattress, right? That would have been the heaviest twin mattress in the history of the world. Eighty pounds added to a mattress would still be noticeable. Not to be indelicate, but the mattress would also be kinda...lumpy...unless EB was able to actually put Zahra between two sets of springs. Or the foam. Either way, I find that rather implausible. A california king, maybe, but Zahra wasn't a toddler.

That's what I remember, it's not specifically 2 days, I thought you might have a source being that specific. Thanks!

I'm not sure if where they are searching today is from direct information from EB. JMHO.

I'm not sure to what extent EB is assisting yet.

Is she telling where to find evidence or are they playing the "where would you look if you abducted a child...." (we've seen that before in a few incidents, Miller reportedly asked KC that).

I want this to all be accurate but over the past couple of years, I've been on this roller coaster with too many missing/deceased individual's threads here.

I'm sitting tight for now. JMHO.

I say we sew EB and AB up in mattresses until they remember what happened to Zahra.

As you can see, this case is not good for me....

LOL! Oh Shefner, you've got pep, and I like it! I know, I'm furious too.

Can someone please help me understand:

Why is Elisa talking BUT NOT under arrest? What is she telling them??? If she is leading them to locations, she KNOWS TOO MUCH---ARREST HER---RIGHT??? Bah!

What is going on? I hope they crack this by Halloween--I know I keep saying it, but I just keep praying it.

Elisa and Adam are both under arrest....just not for Zahra. Now where did I put those TUMS???????????

She is in custody.

ETA: nm, just figured out you meant charge her for something other than the ransom note

As long as she's talking and giving them useful info, they won't arrest her on new (murder) charges, imo. They also have to have enough evidence to make those charges stick. LE being very careful here, as they should.

Were they back at the landfill today?

Reminder: No rumors, if you can't link to an MSM or other links that have been ok'd don't post it. It will be removed. :nono:

Thanks to the Mods that worked so hard getting the last thread cleaned up.

Could be EB is just pretending to help. "Oh, she could be here, or here!" She hasn't been charged with anything, so would she be motivated to essentially admit to anything? I don't know.

Or, "yeah, we threw that old mattress out. Cat peed on it. You really want it? Okay, it's... hm... somewhere out here. Can't remember. Maybe here?"

I don't think he's slow IMHO.

I don't think he's stupid or ignorant IMHO.

Why? I have family members that talk slow, or usually only talk (chit-chat) when asked a direct question.

Crazy like a fox. Or as Homer Simpson said "stupid like a fox".

IMHO and in my personal experience, I can't look at someone in person and tell if they have a cognitive disability just by listening to them talk much less watch someone talk on video and tell. Unless that cognitive disability is so profound you can't mistake it KWIM?

Just my thoughts on EB. Could he be slow? Sure, I don't know.

Could he have an affect that leads others to lower their defenses? Oh yeah I think he could.

Just thoughts.

Arrest her for what? Without DNA evidence or a body Zahra could have been abducted by aliens.

They will not arrest until they know they have a case they feel can be prosecuted.

TehCloser:

I know they are both under arrest for other things, but what I meant was WHY NOT FOR ZAHRA??

Elisa is obviously aware of what happened to Zahra---why else would she be escorted along LE searches?

How much evidence of her involement do they need? (Frankly, her admitting to writing the ransom note is HUGE if you ask me).

Maybe someone else that wasn't very smart helped her move the mattress. Or even if AB did ......

My brother for instance would never know the difference. He'd grab a mattress and fling it onto a truck and go on his way. That's just how he is (and I've commented before AB is A LOT Like him from what I've seen)

AND ....IME there are huge differences in mattress types. There is everything from a thin foam bunk mattress (which you are not hiding a body in) to a latex foam pillow top (which is what I currently have on my bed and with how much it weighs there could be TWO bodies in there and I wouldn't know it).

LE will wait as long as possible to bring charges for Zahra.........EB and AB are right where they want them.
