It appears Sollecito's lawyer is trying to sell the story that there was only one person involved and that was Rudy Hermann Guede. I think he is dreaming. I hope the police make sure Guede hears about this. The pot is about to boil and needs stirring.

Yes he is claiming as are the others that he had nothing to do with the crime.. his finger prints were there from a previous visit.. yeah right they are that poor at cleaning that there are bloody fingerprints in the room where she died on her pillow case and the toilet roll in the bathroom.. and its remaind there since whenever he was last there.. more likely that is a piece of the truth ..it was his last visit but it was when Meredith died. Also wondering if they even honestly remember what happened in detail.. if they were in a drug indused haze it may possibly have clouded their memories and it becomes easier to feign innocence ..however i for one beleive they are guilty as heck and the DNA/forensics prove it.
 
Guede said he was invited by Miss Kercher, 21, to her bedroom on the night of November 1, where they had sex.

In a bizarre account, he said he went to the bathroom, then heard the doorbell ring, and shortly afterwards heard Meredith scream from her room.

He said he emerged from the bathroom to confront a man whom he could describe only as a "brown-haired Italian". They scuffled, and Guede fled injured.

Knox also writes about Sollecito telling authorities she asked him to lie for her.

Guede is the only suspect who has confessed that he was in the house on the night of the killing.
He told the German court that he had tried to save Miss Kercher, that he had fought with an anonymous “brown-haired Italian” and that Miss Kercher had tried to whisper “AF” to him as she died, which he left written behind at the scene.
 
Now, Rafael wants to "clarify" things now that Guede has been arrested. Uh-huh, sure. It'll be interesting to see if these people start to turn on one another. They are all involved, IMO.

Except for the bar owner that has already been set free. I think AK was trying to frame him.

This article make a lot of sense. I also think that Amanda was very jealous of Meredith. Meredith was a natural charmer, as Patrick says. I can envision this. She was attractive and didn't have that desperate need for constant attention. Ironically, that's why she got the attention. Amanda put on an act and went overboard. Most people saw through her act.

I believe Amanda is the key. She is the one who wanted Meredith dead.

Guede murdered Meredith, IMO. Interesting that he says that Amanda was not in the house...Sure...This guy runs from the house (presumably after the murder) at 10:30 p.m. Who was there to strip Meredith and put her clothes in the washing machine? Amanda...???

This poor girl didn't stand a chance. Her jaw was broken. There was more than one murderer.
 
It is clear to me Amanda cut Meredith's throat via the blood evidence on the knife. I agree the last suspect participated in the rape. I am a little unclear about how her jaw was broken unless she was struggling against the assault and her chin was being held? Let's face it that AK set up her roommate and now the key will be AK's boyfriend because he is going to dump it all I bet....minimizing his participation of course.

I forgot about AK's DNA being found on the knife. Perhaps, she just took the evidence to RS's house to clean it with bleach. Her fingerprints or DNA just happened to be found on it. Do you think that is a possibility?

Absolutely that is a possibility-this case just reminds me so much of the cold case they just solved in...hmmm...was it MI? The security guards at a hotel raped and murdered a woman in front of a crowd at the behest of her roommate, who egged them on because she was jealous....I think AK has no soul-she creeps me out by her behaviour, her writing, her eyes...you name it. I can totally see her deciding to stab Meredith in the throat and getting off on it. Sorry if that is too blunt for some.

As far as i remember i think that was the Janet (or Janice) Chandler case wasnt it?? I agree i think this situation stemmed from AK's jealousy of Meredith. Im interested to hear what further information Sollecito has, but im less inclined to think he will try to help AK, i remember that he blamed AK (as did his father) and says she wasnt at his house, so i think he's only going to be concerned with his own welfare, i dont think he'll do anything to help AK.

Im also really surprised that the police are looking for two further suspects - what sort of animals are this group of people?? Wouldnt AK etc have rushed to identify these people if it can take some of the heat from them, i mean if the police already have enough to convict them - then whats the point of protecting people unless you think you're going to get out if those people never tell what they know...sorry if that doesnt make sense - my brain addles when im at work!
 
You are perfectly clear to me Jacobean-I agree that Sollecito is going to turn on everyone...he is the weak link for sure. He is just trying to figure out how not to get convicted of murder when clearly he participated on some level.

You are right, both Sollecito and Knox are trying to clear themselves...

He said that the pair, who are being held in separate cells and are allowed to have no contact, had made a series of “contradictory and absurd” statements in a tortuous attempt to exonerate themselves during the inquiry into the death of Ms Kercher on November 1.​
Also according to the this and other published reports:

Giuliano Mignini, the Perugia prosecutor, said that Ms Knox’s blood had been found on a tap in the bathroom despite her alleged attempts to “clean up” all traces of herself.​
 
This crime was mentioned on the Today show this morning.
