I believe she said he had pushed her around before she threw the ring. Yes, he totally abandoned her there, leaving her with no money and no way to get home. She sounded like she only got home at the mercy of a rental car agency, who must have been willing to accept payment later. This is all from memory, so anyone please correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you very much!

I think DS would want to get the Hummer away from his condo very quickly, before anyone came looking for Michelle. It’s possible that he called his father over, and either the father’s car or Dale’s car was left in the garage and one of them drove the hummer and the other, their own vehicle with the kids in it back to the parents place.

The one in the hummer kept on driving to where the vehicle was dumped and was picked up by the other one. This way, they could have got rid of one of the two big problems in a relatively short time frame, as well as remove the children from the condo. The hummer would not have any evidence of transporting a body or reveal traces of recently being in an off road situation (ie, near a lake) because it was never used for that purpose.

Dale then returns to his place to pick up Michelle and dispose of her. He may not be using his own vehicle, in case it is examined the same way the hummer presumably was.

Given this scenario, it would make more sense for him to have left the phone in the hummer if he was concerned about phone pings, but given the circumstances, he was concentrating on getting rid of the vehicle and Michelle first and using her phone to keep track of when people were likely to contact LE to report her missing.

ETA: I've just listened to the broadcast where it was mentioned that Dale Snr owned a Hummer. So I think in the theory outlined above, that he drove to Dale's and parked his hummer in Dale's garage and removed the decals from hers, so that if anyone saw him driving her vehicle, they would assume it was his own. It's possible that even the licence plates were temporarily removed in case they were caught on camera.

Neighbor caught Dale Smith's father's Hummer on video with boat attached to it.

TY for this!
Comments from caller start at about 28:00 for those wanting to jump to place. She says she saw Sr's Hummer and the neighbor caught it on video. She also said she has known Dale Smith Jr. since High School and that something like ths "was inevitable."

Also, sounds like Michelle had a Hummer (in Dale Jr's name, maybe it used to be his?), and Dale Smith Sr. had a Hummer.

Wasn't there confusion about another hummer on the vvideo....maybe it was Srs ?

I would love to see that! I cannot wait until someone is charged and the Sunshine Laws kick in..

:eek:fftopic: Sorry for the Off Topic but......Does anyone here have access to a genealogy website? A friend of mine found a Purple Heart and we are trying to locate family so she can return it. TIA

Now back to Michelle.....Where are you?

...I haven't followed this case very closely, but tonight I decided to "catch up" and ended up reading for two straight hours! Many posts were so detailed and thought-provoking; this is the best thread I've seen since the Casey Anthony case. Since I hadn't looked at this topic for about two weeks, I thought I would find all kinds of new info and progress. However, as so many of you stated, LE is sitting on what it knows for now, leaving us on pins and needles as we wonder which direction the case will take. Like most sleuthers, I firmly believe that Michelle's ex is responsible for her disappearance and (imo) certain death. I am very worried that her remains will never be found... years ago, when I first started following missing person's cases, it seemed that most victims were eventually found, either dead or alive. More and more, though, the opposite is becoming the norm, especially when a woman is missing and the last person to see her was her husband/ex-husband/boyfriend/ex-boyfriend, and these stats are so disheartening!! : (
Then there are younger women, with no known history of ex's or domestic violence, who seem to have vanished into thin air. WHERE is Holly Bobo? WHERE is Lauren Spierer? WHERE is Haleigh Cummings? The list just goes on and on... Back to Michelle Parker> I just KNOW in my heart that Dale Smith murdered her, for all the reasons brought up already. I watched the "People's Court" video for the first time tonight, and WOW was there a lot going on there. DS is one strange and scary creep; just watching his face during the PC was like looking at Scott Peterson all over again, except I'm sure SP has a higher I.Q. But in both of them, one gets a sense of someone trying to act like a normal human being when actually they are full of narcissism and rage. If I didn't already know about DS's violent background and hatred of/contempt for women, the PC show would have had me laughing, as he looked truly blank, clueless, and just-plain-dumb. Like many of you have noted, he obviously had NO IDEA how he was being perceived in that courtroom! He thought he was some kind of "star", being "chosen" for the show a second time! He didn't realize people- including the freakin' JUDGE!- were making fun of him and seeing him as an idiot. Even when he "won" the case and was being escorted out, he was trying to establish, via texts, that Michelle was still interested in him... when the talking head smirked and refused to look at the text, DS gets mad like a little kid and calls MP "bipolar," which makes him look ignorant and immature. Little did he know that seconds earlier, a very poised and businesslike Michelle had calmly accepted the "verdict" and strongly- rationally- firmly insisted that their relationship was definitely OVER. So when he finally sees the show (and how it's edited) on TV (after bragging about it and telling everyone to watch it), he finally realizes that he has made a fool of himself and becomes livid with rage. He is incapable of laughing at himself and he thinks nothing is ever HIS fault, so he turns his violence on Michelle... that ***** who got the kids and the Hummer... the ***** who is working hard and moving on, who looks more beautiful than ever, who has a new boyfriend, a new life. Surely he knew he wouldn't do any better, even as he desperately enters "hot body" contests in a desperate attempt to be a "star" of some sort, to be worshipped and envied. Maybe, deep down, he realized that no one was rushing to join his fan club, especially no hot females like he deserved. Plus, he had years and years ahead of paying child support for twins, twins his ex had custody of, twins who would eventually get a "new" daddy. Here is a grown man who (sounding like an 8-year-old) brags on his Facebook wall that he "Studied Death, Destruction, Terror and Mayhem at USMC"!!! Failing to mention, of course, that the "USMC" had booted him out with a Dishonorable Discharge!! I mean, this is his maturity level! Combine that with a history of violence toward women, and it is easy to imagine him "snapping" and killing Michelle. Easy. I guess that Michelle was so excited and busy building her new life that she let her guard down, and forgot how dangerous he could truly be. After all, in her mind, they were "over" and she had moved on. They had to continue seeing one another because of the twins, but I'm pretty sure she felt safe dropping them off or picking them up because why would he try anything in front of their children? And she could always call on her new boyfriend, or her family, if he tried anything... I just hope it was quick, whatever he did to get rid of her, and I hope she is found and that Dale Smith pays for what he did, as in my opinion he is a sociopathic MONSTER.
Thank you button is not enough!
So articulate, comprehensive, and well written! :seeya:

Wow! News to me that Sr. had(has) a hummer, too! What color is it?
TIA

Now back to Michelle.....Where are you?

You may want to try Ancestry.com. I don't believe it is a free service. But it seems to be a pretty big organization.
Good luck!

If we don't see signs of new searches this week, I fear the phone may not have been as helpful as hoped...JMO

Snipped for space.
For all we know, LE went in with a swat team raid because Dale, Sr. may have had a registered fire arm in his home, of which, a raid in this manner was warranted. WE have no clue why LE went in that way, and I can't assume it is because they feel Dale, Sr is involved.

Well, they also brought cadavar dogs and crime scene techs so they had reason to suspect something.

Vehicles searched, HRD dogs brought in, houses searched, cell phone found = no evidence that we know of pointing to anyone.

See Post #80. They didn't specify the colour. Could be that it was the same as Michelle's

btw, not that it really matters, but I've just switched my paragraphs around as I noticed I accidentally added the "ETA" in the middle rather than at the end of the post.

Another possibility: The black Hummer that was seen leaving the complex and that LE said was not Michelle's, was in fact hers and they just want to give Dale Jr. a false sense of security. He drove her Hummer without the decals to his dad's, etc etc. with the kids inside and Michelle in the back.

Just throwing out a possibility - try not to eat me.

What if it went down like this;

Michelle arrives at Dales, instead of unloading the twins, they chat for a few and Dale asks that they (twins and Dale) be dropped off at his parents.
They drop off the kids, maybe they plan on some make up schmex, or she is convinced to take him on a errand.
We now have Dale, Michelle and the hummer.

Dales dad is called for 'picking up' Dale later.

There is zero evidence for my thought, just wondered if I could rise to the challenge of having Dale alone and without the twins, and removing DS sr.

It's harder than I thought.

For me, my thoughts from the beginning is trying to figure out how Dale did this alone.

As I mentioned earlier, PRIOR to the raid at Dale, Sr.'s house, people had already inserted Dale, Sr, into the picture.

Dale Sr has no prior criminal history of being abusive etc., and perhaps he may have had a registered fire arm in his home, of which, a raid in this manner was warranted. WE have no clue why LE went in that way, and I can't assume it is because they fell Dale, Sr is involved.

I don't get why we have to assume Dale's family is not telling the truth.

Yup, some families will perjury themselves to protect their child even if they knew they committed the crime. And perhaps some parents will even help with the crime, of which, IMO, one or both parents might even have a criminal background.

In order to get a warrant for that raid, LE had to show a judge probable cause that pointed to Dale Sr (or the home of Dale Sr) being involved in MP's disappearance.

They were not acting on a hunch - they have a whole lot more info than we do.

So that is why we might should assume that Dale's family is not being honest.

Wasn't there confusion about another hummer on the vvideo....maybe it was Srs ?

Chit!!! You might be right.

Sparky, thank you so much for finding that radio info.

I wouldn't think it would be hard to find out if Sr has a Hummer, I do find it odd that MSM hasn't mentioned it.
