Hi, ensht, and that you for your insights. From the first day I jumped on board here at the Holly thread, I was researching cases wherein the abduction victims survived:

I've been posting articles throughout the Holly threads

Elizabeth Shoaf (underground bunker)
(here's the Dateline article, I posted a different one before)
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23522127/ns/dateline_nbc-crime_reports/

What Elizabeth Shoaf did:

Ashley Smith (hostage)

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/03/14/national/main679837.shtml
(article I put here before)

Here are some more:

http://www.deseretnews.com/article/...oman-held-hostage-for-3-weeks-police-say.html

(Then there is another story in SC about two 17 year old girls who were held in an underground bunker and escaped) I'll find that and post it as well.

The point is there have been some cases where they survived. We need to have hope and we need to learn.

Thank you.

Roadblocks are common in an investigation. People are creatures of habit. They get up at the same time and drive to work along the same route. LE will do roadblocks in the same time frame and area that a crime occurred to see if anyone saw anything. LE used this tactic in Kyron's case as well.

2x when talking about her "brother" they showed a pix of Holly & B/F..It def gives the impression her B/F is brother Clint..Very BAD reporting! What else is new? :banghead:

LOL i know we have never seen a pic of the brother. I wonder why that is?

On the 7th his 'license plate' was given to LE by a witness so what took so long (16th/17th?) to find & apprehend him? :waitasec:

I suppose he could've been MIA due to kidnapping Holly on the 13th but that's still almost a whole week later so that doesn't quite jive..OTH! His MO is to stalk young women while they're shopping or just walking along so I guess we can't completely rule him out since he did actually follow one home to her dorm.

he also has warrant in Dickson county for attempted kidnapping. He in jail now so we see if anything come out of this. The most interest to me he lives close to the search area. well his last address was.

Don't forget Anne Sluti, she was kidnapped in April 2001 by a guy named Tony Zappa. He abducted her as she was getting into her car to leave the mall. He took her across state lines and she was able to leave clues as to where she was.

A couple of the clues that I remember were:

They were staying at a cabin (I think and she left her name in a book "Anne Was Here, 2001)

Another Clue was that when he was sleeping, she turned up the radio so he would not hear her call 911.

There was a hit and run a few months back. Sadly the pedestrian passed away. While witnesses were able to give a description of the vehicle, LE still didn't know where or who this person was. Using the creatures of habit approach, the next day LE waited at the scene for the hit and run driver to drive by on their way to work.

I can't imagine that anyone in this area with all of the coverage has not already thought about anything they may have seen...it seems as though the entire community is involved in searching, etc...not sure who they will come across in a roadblock that would have new information and I doubt the abductor will be passing by; he is either long gone, or laying low as much as possible.

Someone actually posted a link on facebook about that?

That's just plain cruel. (even if they have not found her yet).

You would vomit if ya saw what they have posted over there!

But they want ppl to know not to open it or your puter will crash .

Just because she isn't a teenager, it doesn't mean she couldn't have been kidnapped and is being held somewhere. There are children who've been kidnapped and murdered, and there are also cases of adult women who've been kidnapped and made it out alive.

maybe to question what people saw? that road intersects the Swan Johnson Rd....wasn't that the area searched early? evidence poss. found there?

yea but why wait this long to do it?

(link is fixed, sorry about that first link)

Okies, I've cleared this topic with a mod. See article linked above.

The abandoned car had Holly's cellphone in it, camo clothing in the back when discovered. The discovery changed the location of the searches. IMO, might be the most significant lead in the case.

It seems the perp isn't too bright if he's leaving all that evidence in a car he had been driving with or without Holly as a passenger..Hopefully, the car can be traced & he left a ton of DNA in it.

I have some new tactics they could try!!!!!!

Try some polygraphs!

eliminate some POI's and go from there!

LOL i know we have never seen a pic of the brother. I wonder why that is?

His pix posted on his FB page is extremely hard to make out due to it not being a closeup & his page is 'private' so no luck there either..It is odd the media hasn't even found a pix of him & now one is actually showing her B/F while talking about the brother as IF it's him.

But bright enuff to have gone 7 days without getting caught!
He could very well be leaving the evidence as a diversin!

JMO

Im not so sure about the car!

ermmm...why are they calling this a missing childs case? Holly is a 20 year old college student. I think it places a misconception on those looking for her. Had I not looked at her age, I would have thought it was a child they were looking for? Tell it like it is - it may help further their efforts.

Missing - young woman/college student!!

His FB pic is blurry and hes on an ATV..... ya cant see him!

Authorities describe roadblocks as 'new tactic' http://bit.ly/eLRzje #hollybobo

What good could a road block 7 days later be? Whats the chance someone is driving around with evidence 7 days later?
What good is a roadblock 7 days later? Google the Jessica Lloyd case in Tweed, Ontario in 2010. A roadside stop a week later led to the arrest and conviction of her murderer, Russell Williams.

The police have to try everything and anything here.
