Is anyone familiar with a murder that took place in Waterloo, ontario of a young girl around November 15 to 25 in 1973! (1972?).I believe her first name was Suzanne, or Susan. She apparently was at a bar called the Kent Hotel that evening. She was abducted, driven out to a county road outside of Waterloo, killed and found naked the next day.
I have searched all through the websites and while there are other 1970's unsolved murders, I simply cannot find anything on this one.
I lived on Erb Street in those days with my mother and apparently she threw a shoe into our yard. It was a very cold, snowy night. I seem to remember seeing a older black car, maybe 1957 and three men inside and a struggle.

Kitchener police seek girVs killer KITCHENER, Ont. (CP)- Police were searching today for the killer of a 16-year-old Waterloo girl whose nude body was, found Sunday in a snow-filled ditch near a nunnery about six miles west of here. An autopsy was to be performed today on the body of Suzanne Aldworth who was reported missing by her parents early Saturday. Provincial police said their criminal investigation branch was investigating the case as a homicide but would not say how the girl was killed. Police also refused to say whether" she was sexually assaulted. The body was found by two girls who were riding horses. The girl was last seen at a Waterloo restaurant Friday night with a group of friends. She left to make a telephone call and was not seen again. Her friends told police they thought she had made a three-block walk from the restaurant to her home. i I .
 
I never had the chance to meet Suzanne.. but I did get to know her family.. I dated one of her brothers in about 1977.. Her parents never got over it..I have lost contact with the family since about 1980. They where an incredable family..it broke my heart how much pain they where in.. I was born only a year after Suzanne and just loved her mom so much... I have thought of them over the years and wondered if they ever found out what happened to their daughter / sister..they had some ideas but it was never proven..It still makes me sad what they went through.
 
I am back reading Websleuths after a number of years. If I had to guess, I'd say the "nunnery" in question was in St. Agatha where the Canadian Independent College and the St. Agatha Catholic church are, but that is just my best guess.
The Kent Hotel mentioned is now the Huether Hotel -- which is not a hotel but a restaurant and gastropub/bar.
The post copied from above mentions Erb St., which the Heuther sits near, and takes you to St. Agatha.

His name is John wesley 74 of Kitchener Ontario or nicknamed “JR” used to openly talk about this case to intimidate his ex’s, if it’s not allowed for me to post his name definitely have it removed but I just wanted to share that for the sake of her family and loved ones, I was a kid when I heard his side of it and years n years later I was able to track down the article which was the exact same story/details he spoke of
 
Interesting points about the main suspect and the case being 'solved', but not enough to lay charges back in 2007. Linked here with details that come from talks with former regional homicide detective George Schiestel. Don't know if that's the same individual you speak of above @Diyfbi as the suspect is not named within this write up.

Interesting to the list of, at least, nine other unsolved murders from the same region:
June 22, 1984: The body of Kim Fraser, 17, of Kitchener, was found in a swampy area in Waterloo. The cause of her death was never determined.

Sept. 19, 1987: The slaying of Leianne Hunter, a 34-year-old Cambridge mother of three, is back on the books as an unsolved murder after a judge ruled recently that her husband, Russell Hunter, was not guilty of second-degree murder.

Nov. 7, 1988: The body of Pamela Harris, 31, of Guelph was found near a park just south of the Village of Conestogo. She had been stabbed and bludgeoned to death. Police have a suspect.

Dec. 4, 1988: Police are treating the death of Peter Lair in a Kitchener fire as an unsolved homicide because they don't know how the fire started. Lair, 33, from Manitoba,was found dead inside an apartment in a David Street house.

July 14, 1990: Wilfred Schaefer, 85, was found stabbed in his Weber Street apartment and died several weeks later.

Jan. 1, 1991: Persa and Josef Gligor of Kitchener were killed with an axe and hatchet at their Madison Avenue North home.

Jan. 22, 1991: Robert Wagner, 31, of Cambridge died from multiple stab wounds. He was found in his Woodside Avenue apartment. The victim was a small-time drug dealer and police, who have a suspect, believe that may be the key to solving his murder.

March 22, 1991: The beating death of Michael James Lawlor of Cambridge went back to homicide detectives after charges were dropped against two Cambridge men. The 30-year-old man was beaten in front of a Cambridge hotel.

June 22, 1996: Orville "Wayne" Mohan was shot to death at the Portuguese Oriental Sports Club on North Dumfries Township Rd. 17 during a party....
