Attacked By Two Pit Bulls: A Survivor's Story

"This can't be happening, this can't be happening.. And then it was like I'm going to die... I'm not going to make it," recalled Richard Woods.

It's still hard for Woods to believe that he escaped the jaws of not one but two pit bulls. The Jeff Davis man was attacked late Saturday night while riding his bike past a home on Constance Road.

Yep This isnt far from where I live it was a big story here.

That poor, poor man. What a nightmare.

Horrible story. that poor man must have been scared to death.

There have been a few dog attacks as of late. This one is particularly horrible because the dog had shown signs of aggression but they were blatantly ignored. They may file charges because of that:

FREMONT — New details about the dog mauling that wounded a 9-month-old boy were released Thursday as police prepared to submit their case to prosecutors for charging.
Authorities will seek criminal charges of child endangerment — which can be charged as a misdemeanor or a felony — although it remains unclear whom they suggest will face charges, said Detective Bill Veteran, spokesman for the Fremont Police Department.

case an aunt called authorities after she was bitten by the family dog. But when police arrived, the 31/2-year-old Boxer named Tyson was gone, and the woman showed officers a small mark on the back of her leg, a wound that appeared insignificant, Veteran said.

But during questioning Wednesday, a day after the most recent attack, the aunt told police that she lied about the severity of the first attack.
She showed investigators three bite wounds on her upper thigh, and told detectives that the dog was trying to attack the child and not her, he said.

First I read, then I watched the video. I have the perfect solution. Not only is the owner, who's dogs were "stolen" would be responsible for all medical bills, he'd be charged with attempted murder in the first degree. It's the only way to control these attacks. If you insist your innocent little sweet pit bull is really a pussy cat that won't hurt a flea, then you'd better be prepared to face criminal charges as if you were the one who attacked. You will become the extension of your precious little woof-woof's jaws when he gets out and attacks anyone, perhaps double time in prison if it's an innocent child. That's it. No exceptions. No mercy. You're done.

I've had a neighbor's pit bull follow the owner's kids down here and actually attack my dog on my own property. Went after his penis and did damage bad enough to have the vet repair it. I reported it to the sheriff and we managed to have the dog put down before it went to court.

At one time in Miami, we had a young plastic surgeon living near us. There was a viscous attack by a pit bull on a young boy named Frankie Scarborough. This doctor was one of the volunteers who guaranteed lifetime surgeries for this little boy to restore his face and ear that were torn apart by these dogs.

OH that is so cool and I love to hear stories like that My father specialized in plastic and reconstructive surgery.He often had to leave us to go put a little one's face back together. He was the kindest man and it didn't matter if the patients could pay or not.

This doctor insisted I call him immediately if one of my boys ever needed stitches. I did when one cut his hand rather badly. He immediately met me at his office and handled it immediately. No bill, wouldn't accept money. We hauled his kids around for several years for little league. These specialists who are at the top of the money making elite are often the kindest most giving of their time and skills.

I hope it is a big story and if those dogs weren't put down then I hope someone is looking for them. The man's story is absolutely horrifying. The dogs went after him twice and were just chewing and chewing on him.

As long as those dogs or those like them are loose then the public is at risk.
