Like some other killers, I bet he liked to relive everything... that's why I think that killing her on the same date as NH wasn't a coincidence.:twocents:

Then what was that video posted a few pages back that said it wasn't Stephany's body, it was just a re-enactment?

Was that really her afterall?? I mean an actual video of the crimescene?

I don't think its him not wanting to - Lima and its fine citizens are experiencing a severe international media scrum. Oh Lord, remember the picture that was a shot down the street at the height of KC's "home confinement - back in the days of protestors, and swinging hammers and spraying hoses?

I couldn't count the number of up-links on that street. And that is what is happening in Lima right now. LE is afraid they will not be able to keep him safe and conduct this re-enactment accurately and safely with that much media there. Maybe they are deciding how to erect the barriers and tape and rope it all off so they can do it - KWIM?
 
I am still hung up on the missing "coffee"video....Possible the LE saw something so incriminating that they withheld it and showed the others....very interesting and fascinating as well....did they realize how much curiosity this would stir up,lol.......maybe there was lots of information on that video that really nails him to the wall and they are saving it as their last punch...possible they have shown it to JVS but just not to the rest of the world....and I still wonder why.....if it is so telling why is it so secretive:banghead:

You are probably right. He may have even had some photos on there of women after he had killed them??? Just a thought, and a sick thought at that.

I agree with the idea that she was found in what she slept in. If the common theory is correct that she seems out of it because she is drugged, one of the first symptoms of being drugged like that is being sick, groggy, and sleepy. It is a common MO for these guys in the clubs to be Mr. Helpful, Oh you don't look like you feel well, do you want me to take you outside for some air... perfect strategy to get them away from their friends, to lead them where you want them.

It still makes zero sense to me that he ripped her pants off to have sex with her, left her blouse intact and her panties on. I can't get my own jeans off and leave my panties where they were without readjusting. That scenario just doesn't make sense to me.

If she is indeed a lesbian I think Joran's complete lack of sexual vibe with her lulled her into a false sense of security.

I doubt that picture is from May 2010. Joran looks really young (like 16 or 17) in that picture.

ETA: I call that licking (not kissing) lol.

From what I heard, if he confesses and the evidence lines up with his reenactment he will get a lesser sentence. I just hope that authorities will have enough sense to look at all of the evidence and possibilities.

If he does get a lesser sentence, lets hope that U.S. is in line to extradite him before the Dutch legal system.

This is what I think too but if there are other victims out there then this theory may not hold up...

It is a small room, I think they will have to recreate the room elsewhere for the reenactment. Crowd control would be a nightmare in that hostel. Not only can they not guarantee his safety, they really can't provide safety for the people in the area and in the crowd.

I don't know if this has been addressed already (have tried to read all the posts but getting bug-eyed here and missed a few) but I am wondering what happens if his reenactment does not line up with his confession?

I have a feeling the Peruvian authorities are well aware of Joran's previous reputation of telling many lies and also feel because of his narcissistic personality he is underestimating them and feels he can pull the wool over their eyes...

Maybe. I haven't seen it reported that he had one in his possession. Even if turned off while he was fleeing, it seems it would be a wealth of other information. I just find it odd that he didn't have one.

I find that hard to believe. Why would she take off her pants in a hotel room of the guy she barely knew if she had no intent on having a sexual encounter?
Especially on her period.
